- D'Lo Brown defeated Jay Bradley.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Tapings (Air Date: August 17):

- World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali vs. Kane in a WrestleMania 23 rematch is announced as the main event.

- Tapings open with WWE United States Champion MVP hosting the "VIP Lounge." His guest is Matt Hardy and said Matt's next challenge was the Masterlock Challenge. Masters gets Matt in the Masterlock and MVP gets in some cheap shots. When Matt gets back on his feet, MVP returns to the ring and gives him the Playmaker.

- Vince McMahon and Jonathan Coachman are on the show still examining the roster. They joke that Big Daddy V could be Vince's son.

- WWE Tag Team Champions Deuce & Domino defeated The Major Bros.

- Backstage, The Great Khali interrupts Vince McMahon and Teddy Long talking. Khali shakes Vince's hand.

- Chuck Palumbo debuts next week.

- Finlay vs. Jamie Noble ends in a No Contest when Kane interferes.

- Chavo Guerrero defeated Shannon Moore.

- Batista cuts a promo about SummerSlam. Khali appears on the screen and he squishes a basketball to show his power.

- Mark Henry defeated a local wrestler.

- Victoria defeated Michelle McCool. The finish was reportedly botched with Kenny Dykstra involved.

- World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali defeated Kane. Finlay came out to attack Kane and Batista ran out to make the save. Khali takes out Batista.

- Michelle McCool, Victoria and Kenny Dykstra all run back out again. They re-do the finish of the earlier match that sees McCool hitting a clothesline off the middle rope for the win.
