- ECW Champion Johnny Nitro defeated Tommy Dreamer.

- CM Punk defeated Kevin Thorn. After the match, Nitro came out and teased he was going to go after Punk in the ring, but held back.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Tapings (Air Date: July 6):

- Matt Hardy defeated WWE U.S. Champion MVP in a Non-Title Match.

- Backstage, World Heavyweight Champion Edge told Teddy Long that he didn't want to compete tonight. Long agreed, but said Edge would have a special guest on The Cutting Edge tonight.

- Chris Masters defeated Jimmy Wang Yang. After the match, The Great Khali came out, beat up Yang and issued an open challenge for The Great American Bash.

- The Major Brothers defeated Mike Foxx & Jeremy Young.

- Finlay defeated Ric Flair.

- Backstage, Victoria attacked Torrie Wilson.

- Backstage, The Great Khali attacked a backstage helper.

- Chuck Palumbo defeated Kenny Dykstra.

- Deuce vs. Eugene went to a No Contest when The Great Khali came out and attacked both. Khali and his translator wondered if anyone was brave enough to accept his challenge. Batista came out. They had a stare down and then Khali left.

- The Cutting Edge: special guest was Kane. Edge sucked up to Kane early on listing all of his accomplishments. Edge then listed off his accomplishments and attempted to end the interview when Kane attacked him. Edge then said he would never step foot in the ring with Kane again. Teddy Long came out and announced it would be Edge vs. Kane at The Great American Bash with the World Heavyweight Title on the line.
