Ric Flair gives notice to WWE - frustrated with his WWE status
» Reported by Adam Martin of WrestleView.com
» On Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 1:33 AM EST

According to new reports, Ric Flair has given notice to WWE and did so around August 21. This reportedly has nothing to do with the current drug investigations or suspensions within WWE at this time as Flair grew frustrated over his push and a lack of any encouraging communication from the front office.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE has already offered Flair a major program to return. Both sides haven't agreed on this new program and it is unclear where things stand at this time. The Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that TNA is aware of the situation right now and is interested, so anything is possible at this point.

We will continue to follow this story as it develops.

I know that the main reason he' still wrestling is that he can't afford to retire but surely they could do a retirement angle that concludes at WM24.

After that there's TONNES of different roles that Flair could occupy either on or off screen which would allow him to still entertain his fans and at the same time pass on a wealth of knowledge and experience to the upcoming superstars...

Flair deserves at least one more title run .. the storyline is there and we as fans can all easily write it .. hopefully the writing staff will have him retire on top.
