Lawler had to back out of the match due to politics with Vince McMahon and the WWE. Here's more info followed by a link to the press conference. The audio is pretty bad at first. Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | More info: As reported by numerous wrestling media sources yesterday, World Wrestling Entertainment pulled Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas and The Boogeyman from tonight's Memphis Wrestling event at Sam's Town Casino in Tunica, MS after the fallout of forcing Jerry Lawler out of his planned match with Hulk Hogan on April 27 in Memphis, TN at the Fed Ex Forum. According to The Wrestling Observer, no WWE contracted talent will be allowed to work for Memphis Wrestling from this point forward. It remains unclear at this time where Jerry Lawler stands with the promotion as he is simply under an announcers contract with WWE, not a talent contract. Memphis Wrestling has featured WWE talent for many years. Although it was stated by Jerry Lawler at the press conference in Memphis yesterday that he couldn't wrestle Hulk Hogan because he was under a WWE deal and that any NBC/Universal talent couldn't appear on Hogan's VH1 reality show, that wasn't the real issue as Vince McMahon simply didn't want such a high-profile match taking place involving Hogan. When Lawler asked if he could still appear at the show without it involving Hogan, he was told by WWE that he couldn't show up if Hogan would still be appearing. As noted earlier, it will now be Hogan vs. Paul Wight (formerly known as Big Show in WWE). Programs, tickets, billboards and radio/print ads all focusing on Hogan vs. Lawler will have to be changed as well as re-doing a majority of the Memphis Wrestling TV show that will air over the next two Saturdays.
