The Official Anabolic Innovations Sample Review Thread

People are starting to get samples. So the idea is to post your review of all 3 samples you picked in this thread. That way everything is organized.

I had the PB-Banana Elivis flavor this evening. THe mixability was very good no clumps at all, the taste was not overpowering. There was hint of PB and banana. I have looked all over for a good tasting PB flavor. The best so far was PVL's Chocolate PB , but this comes in second for sure plus I trust there label claims, I am a little skeptical of PVL. I would get extra PB flavor to up the flavor intensity

The Mocha flavor was very good and one of the best I have tried. I would not need to buy any additional flavor for this. Very good overall and one of my favorites.

I have left one PB isolate that I Have not tried yet but will do so tommorow or this evening yet. I am looking forward to it. I thank Crowler once again as I think I will be orderint the PB flavor with extra flavoring for sure.

Peanut Butter Isolate- no complaints...next time i will have less milk to protein ratio. very good mixability. some flavoring(i think) settled to the bottom, gradually went away as i was drinking it...9/10 (i love PB!!

Cookie Mix- good stuff. i mixed the milk in, added a bit too much(i thought no way would a Tbsp. be enough, woops) so i added a bit of Chocolate Mass Meal to the bag, got it to the right texture, put it in a saucer, nuked it for 45 seconds. worked very good. i didn't let is set, just ate it, but if i had let it set, i have no doubt the chocolate chips on the bottom wouldn't have been hot and wet.

10/10(i love the idea; plan on ordering some soon)

Strawberry Isolate-good flavor, not enough. reminds me of a weak strawberry nesquik....if i ordered this, i would get extra flavoring or tighten up the ratio of fluid to powder...and i'd put it in milk.

mixed amazingly. NO clumping, NO grainy-ness. :nosthumbs 7/10(needs to be stronger is all)

Strawberry Excell- Wonderful. i love it. definately my new BCAA supplement, and i have faith in your flavor systems, so i can change it up with all of your choices.

any questions from anyone, just ask. i think i covered everything though.

I received my samples earlier this week. So far I've tasted the Peanut Butter, Strawberry/Banana, and Chocolate Banana Split blends. All tasted great and mixed perfectly with no clumps.

The cookie mix is good too!

I still have a Mango sample as well as a Fruit Punch Excell sample that I haven't tried yet.

Excell fruit punch: Tasted good and went into solution nicely given just a little time. I already ordered 1 kg of it; the price is great.

Whey blend protein:

Peanut butter: I found it pleasant, but not powerfully peanutty enough.

The elvis (peanut butter and banana): Nice banana flavor, but again, not enough peanut for me.

To comment on the overall quality of the whey. I think it is top notch; goes into solution instantly and you can tell it is a good quality by the lack of any aftertaste. The issue with the flavoring, that's a matter of personal taste, and CROWLER has come up with a great solution by offering the plain protein powder with free flavoring systems, so you can tweak it to your personal taste. I alreadly placed my order for 10 lbs of the protein and my flavor systems. The price is competitive, and the added value of being able to adjust your own flavors... unbeatable.

The cookie mix rocked my world. I didn't order any yet, because I'm going to run X Factor and the mix is high in omega 3's, but it will definitely become a staple in my diet. The cookie tastes far better than any other high-protein cookie, cake, or protein bar recipe I've ever tried.

Anabolic Innovations is now going to be my primary source for BCAA, Whey, and chocoloate chip cookies. Take the advice of a madman: Give the Anabolic Innovations products a try and you will not be disappointed.

The QUALITY of the whey it's self is TOP NOTCH. It mixes very well and has a very 'clean' texture to it (like baby powder!).

Flavors are a matter of personal preference. Personally I thought the flavors were not flavorful enough, but to each his own.

The cookie mix: YOU ARE A FREAKIN GENIUS and I will most likely be buying some for when I am dorming next fall.

Yea i havent tried the cookie mix yet but it smells damn good.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix: So i fixed my cookie and i must say it's delicious. When i first mixed it up and put it on a saucer i was like there is no way this is going to be a cookie. Put it in the microwave and didnt know it was going to get larger LOL. Anyway i will be ordering these for sure. Crowler you should make a fortune off of these. I give it a 10/10 along with two thumbs up.:nosthumbs

Mocha Mud Slide: Tried this flavor last night. As skelooth said it could def. use some more flavoring. Very weak flavor but still tasted good. Also mixed up perfectly. No clumps or anything of that nature. If i bought it i would def. have to add some more mocha flavor to it.

Lemon Excell: Had a great lemon smell. The taste was a little off. Didnt care to much for it.

I have the Excell sample pack on the way. I'll decide on a flavor and go for one.

Whey Protein Isolate Mango:
I wanted to try something other than Vanilla or Chocolate whey since they are my favorites! The mango was pretty good, but I thought it could use a little more flavoring.

I cant say how impressed I am with the mixability! It was by far the best of on any whey I have used. Not too mention when I read the letter than came with it, It stated "Anabolic Innovations protein mixes easily with just a fork as you will see." I'm thinking to myself, I dont know about that! So I dumped the sample into a plastic cup and added exactly 4oz of water. I couldn't believe my eye's...NO CLUMPS what so ever! Even when I put my whey in a shaker bottle I see clumps, I stirred this with a fork and no clumps, nothing stuck to the bottom of the cup! I'm Extremely impressed!

I have 2 samples of EXCELL, I will try them this week and post my thoughts!

BTW as far as wanting the taste a little stronger, I don't know if you knew it or not but we now offer a Make Your Own Flavor System.

You just order the Plain Jane protein powder flavor. Then in the comments section when checking out you indicate what flavors you would like. Each choice includes DOUBLE the normal flavoring amount we use for 2 lbs.

So if you ordered 10lbs you would pur up 5 flavors. If you want all 5 the same that is fine. If you want 5 different flavors that is also fine or any combination of that.

BTW I also think its great how you put a 'descriptive' letter in with the samples. For instance if there was no letter I would have just mixed the whey in my shaker bottle, not getting to see how extremely well it mixes with a FORK! (I'm still in shock, you have no idea).Sometimes when I get samples they come with nothing at all! I'm definitely getting my next order with Anabolic Innovations, cant wait to try the EXCELL!

The cookie mix is sounding very good to me too!
