Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 60 | You need to cut hardcore... you've got the mass to do well, but you're going to have a tough time shedding enough bodyfat to come into November in contest shape. If you have a plan for cutting up, you might want to post it so you can get some input. Make tomorrow the first day of the rest of the competition for you; put a good plan into motion and do not stray, not even once.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 8 | You guys are exactly correct. I am blown away by the improvements both of you guys have made. I sincerely appreciate the encouragement and will strive to get in decent enough shape to be competitive in November. In the back of my mind I have been thinking, "Oh, I still have a lot of time left". When I checked out your pictures it kind of hit me that I screwed up because I have wasted so much time. I have some good friends that have been really on me about cutting up. Hopefully my focus and dedication will be enough this last part so I can be respectable in November. I am even more afraid that I won't be ready for April when I plan to get up on a stage with a live audience.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 8 | I figured I would post a few of my plans to try to cut down the bodyfat over the last two months. Nutrition- I have been trying to follow the Body for Life nutrition program during most of the contest. However the free day they allow has often turned into a free weekend (or more). I am going to try my best to eliminate the free day from my program because I have not been disciplined enough to limit it to one day. I am now altering my nutrition by focusing on counting calories. I have been trying to stay between 2000 and 2500 calories or so and limit the carbs that I have after 6 pm while working to maintain a fairly high protein intake. I have also been trying to get closer to 1 gallon of water a day in. Cardio- I have started back up running again. I am trying to get in shape to run a 5K (3.1 mile) in October. That puts my cardio sessions at between 20-30 minutes. I am also starting to do some biking and nordictrac to alternate the type of cardio I do. My goal right now is to get 4 sessions in per week. Strength training- My strength training is pretty similar to before. I am lifting 4 days per week usually first thing in the morning beginning around 5:45. I am doing slightly higher reps than before. A lot of 12's on different exercises. (Twelve reps on deadlifts is a killer). Anyway, that is my plan. Hopefully this will get me where I need to be in the next two months.
