Default Miezimau-September Picture Updates, MIP + Novice

Ugh, not liking what I see this month at all. Even though I was finally able to get back into the gym and I am cleared for lifting, I still have to lift somewhat light.

Eating has been like crap for most of the month. I was even up to 170lbs at some point. Luckly I am down to 167 at this am.
Hoping to see better results next month. Time to get back on track and kick it into gear.

Miez, okay so you had an off month, blow it off and hit it hard going forward. I won't sugar coat this, here's my sincere advice because I care....
The Lifting is probably 25-30% of the battle, your diet on the other hand is more like 75-80%. If you ate clean and got your diet in order, hit the cardio hard, you could make tremendous results by November. Again, Im not trying to criticize in any way, just trying to give you some help. amen to that. Diet is key is this competition. It not the strongest, most muscular person who is gonna win its the person with the most will power IMO. I always cheer ya on! Go get em!

No worries M you certainly didn't lose ground so you have 2 good months to really get serious and get your diet locked in! You can do it! Lot's of diet pro's on the site that can help you dial it in if your having problems putting one together. If it's willpower your lacking and not a diet give yourself a kick in the butt, get a little mad and do it to show yourself you can! Much better posing this month though! Much better presentation and form. Keep practicing it's paying off. Let's go M! Two good months in a row is all you need now.

Thanks for all the comments guys! I know I need a good kick in the rear. It is the mindset I have. I want to eat the rights things, but then I go turn around and eat the bad stuff anyway.
Doesn't help that DH sits there everyday and eats junk food right in front of me, too.
I haven't been doing too much cardio lately, either, just weights and I think that is a major factor in the gain also.

I will start to log everything that goes into my mouth this month and all the exercises I do. Please feel free to drop in anytime in my journal and comment on what I have been doing.

I know how it is to have people eating all kinds of tempting foods around you. My wife and kids will bring home McDonald's of all things and sit there mowing down fries right in front of me. My wife is always baking cookies and cakes, it is not an easy environment to do contest prep in let me tell you.... LOL. It takes a lot of discipline to not give in to temptation. When I feel really tempted to pick up a cookie or steal some fries, I Imagine my ideal physique at that moment and tell myself "you will not get there if you put that food in your mouth; you can have one or the other, but you cannot have both". I've programmed myself to have that reaction to food temptations. Next time you have a temptation, force yourself to stop and evaluate the situation... your goals are more important than that food!!!

There are about 10 weeks left and you can still make a big change, so set your eye on the prize and get it done!!!

I will try your Strategy Madman! Hopefully it will work for me.
Dh is always doing this. Even yesterday, too. He goes (as we were sitting on the front porch watching the neighbor mow his yard) let's have some chips and salsa and a few margaritas and watch the neighbor work

I did bring out the chips and salsa (he makes his own salsa) and had maybe 5 chips with salsa and had 2 Margaritas, but we had been working again in the backyard before this so I did my share yesterday.
My goal for this month is to drop 5-10lbs by doing heavy duty cardio
