Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 10 | ok well this past month was not a great month, and neither will be this month. Had a total Hysterectomy on June 12th and am still in recovery Period. Not allowed to lift or do cardio yet. Hoping to get the clearance by the end of this month. Gained 5 lbs during this ordeal, but at least I got the insurance that I don't have cancer and all the precancerous cells were removed. Current stats: went from 160lbs to 165lbs gained some inches back in waist and hips and of course these gains are not muscle, but pure fat well maybe a little water, since I am still very bloated in the abdominal area. I cannot bleieve that it can actually take up to 1 year to completely reside. Doc said it might take even longer since we are in high altitude and you heal slower in high altitude. Hoping to get back into the swing once I get cleared. Eating wasn't the best either this past month and the beginning of this month. Trying to get back on the wagon starting Monday morning. Here are some of the pics: Most improved and Novice relaxed:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 44 | Probably mainly water gain, being that you're not lifting and doing cardio you're not losing as much sodium through sweat or glycogen by lifting. I'm sure you'll recover fast. ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 34 | Miezimau, Try not to worry about the weight, I am sure it is the water gain, swelling, etc. I am going to be in the boat you are in real soon with surgery setting me back and I have been told it does take a long time for the swelling, etc. to go away and I will weigh more afterward. I think that is totally normal. The more important thing is the reassurance for you, congratulations on that! I have had a cancer scare myself and I know what that is like. Seeing you keep on with your logging and participating in IMPC, doing whatever you can while making sure you take time to heal is very inspiring. I love your attitude of focusing on the future and getting back on track and staying positive! You are going to be better than ever soon and I can't wait to see what you've got in store over the coming months! Keep up the great job and attitude and hope you recover to 100% as soon as possible!! ![]() Dawn

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Don't sweat your gain, especially from surgery. It should come right off again since it's mostly water. Still looking good and I hope to see even better pics next month! |
