Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Congratulations to all the IMPC competitors who have made it to the finals. You are all winners in my opinion, no doubt about it! :clapping: The final week is here. Here are the instructions for submitting your final pictures. ALL final picture submissions are due by 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on Saturday, November 18th. If you do not submit your final pictures, then you are disqualified. Not submitting your final pictures is equivalent to not showing up for the show. Final picture submissions will be allowed beginning on Thursday, November 16th, at 12:01 AM Eastern Standard time. This is to allow anyone who might have a conflict to take their pictures early. I will post the final photo download on Wednesday, November 15th. If any contestant has a conflict that would prevent them from taking their final pictures during this window, then let me know immediately. Conflict or not, NO pictures will be accepted after 11:59 PM Eastern on Saturday, Nov. 18th. Bodybuilding Competitors ( Novice and Open ) You will be required to submit the same set of mandatory pictures that you have submitted throughout the competition. All four quarter turns, The Mandatory bodybuilding poses, and one additional picture holding the photo download. All bodybuilding competitors MUST be wearing a competition legal bodybuilding posing suit. All competitors must present their final pictures with full competition preparation. All visible skin ( except on the face and head ) should be shaved and proper contest color should be displayed. There will be very significant markdowns for any competitor who does not present photos in fully prepared condition ( just as would be expected in any bodybuilding competition ) I strongly urge you to take your time and apply your contest color properly and thoroughly. You all have worked very hard for many months, don't skimp on the last bit of prep! Picture quality and lighting WILL have an impact on the judging. If your photos are out of focus or dark, or do not show your physique well, it will impact your placing. The judges cannot judge what they can't see. Please make sure your final pictures are in focus and well lit. Juding will based entirely on the final set of submitted pictures. The pictures leading up to the finals will have no impact on the final judging. Only the final pictures will be considered. Just like at any bodybuilding competition, it doesn't matter what you looked like the week or month before the show, it matters what you look like on show day. Most Improved Physique Competitors. You may wear a posing suit, or you may wear the following: Men - Shorts which clearly display your waist, and legs. As I mentioned with regard to picture quality above. The judges cannot judge what they cant see, so please wear shorts that show your physique. You may pull the shorts up to display more of your leg development. Women - Shorts which clearly display your waist and legs, and a Sports Bra type top which clearly displays your upper body development and condition. Only the four quarter turn poses are required from the Most Improved Physique competitors. Remember, the Most Improved Physique competitors are NOT competing against each other's physiques. The awards are based on the biggest positive change between the first set of submitted pictures, and the final set of submitted pictures. ONLY the first and final sets of sumbitted pictures will be considered in the final judging process. Most Improved Physique competitors are NOT required to shave or present with contest color. They may do so if desired, but it is not required. Please PM or e-mail me if you have any questions about the final picture submissions. The judging panel will be revealed when the scoring is presented, but they willl not be posted ahead of time. Thank you, and GOOD LUCK to all competitors with your final prep! Congrats again to you all for making it this far! :clapping: - EME

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | The bodybuilding competition will be scored exactly like an NPC sanctioned bodybuilding competition. Competitors will be ranked in order from first to last in each division, by each judge, based on Symmetry, Muscularity, and Conditioning. The competitor the judge feels has the best combination of all three criteria will be given a 1. The second best will be given a 2, etc. There are 7 judges scoring. The highest and lowest scores for each competitor will be dropped leaving 5 scores that count toward the final score. A perfect score ( 1st from every judge ) would result in a total score of 5. 5 points will be added to competitors total score for every missed picture submission. This is the equivalent of dropping them one place on every judges scorecard. In the case of a tie score, the judges will rescore only the two tied competitors head to head to break the tie. The Most improved Physique division will be judged the same way, except that the judges will be ranking based on the best overall improvement in physique between the starting picture and the final picture. Competitors physiques will not be judged against each other in this division. It's the total amount of positive change from the beginning that will be judged. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. - EME Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 41 | Oh, ok then. I just thought that there would be 4 criteria's for judging: Mass, Definition, Proportion/Symmetry, Stage Presence(Posing). Just how much would not having a posing suit, not shaving, and not tanning effect someone's final score? Since it's a bodybuilding contest, would that result in placing last?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Not showing up with a posing suit, would result in a Disqualification, just as it would in any live competition. Just as you would not be allowed to play football without a helmet and shoes, you would not be allowed to step out on stage and compete in a bodybuilding competition without a posing suit. It's required, as stated in the rules posted at the beginning of the competition. Failure to shave would be at the head judges discretion. Showing up completely covered in hair, front to back would likely result in a disqualification. Failure to shave well, or shave your entire body would likely just result in being scored very low. Failure to apply proper color would not result in a DQ ( you see this in contests all the time ) but it would result in the competitor being scored very low. All of the criteria you mentioned will be considered and figured in to the judges scoring. - EME Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | I'm sorry to hear that Thaript1, however these requirements were very clearly spelled out in the 2006 IMPC rules, posted here: 2006 IronMass Physique Competition "...In the months leading up to the competition, competitors may wear shorts for their progress pictures. However, Posing Trunks WILL BE REQUIRED to be worn in the final picture submissions for all Bodybuilding competitors. If a competitor is ONLY competing in the Most Improved Physique catagory, shorts may be worn for the final picture submission. Full contest preparation is expected for all Bodybuilding competitors. This includes: Proper Posing Trunks Removal of visible body hair Proper contest color" As indicated in the rules, you can still compete in the MIP division without trunks and full contest color, etc. - EME Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 50 | Thaript1, if it's just a "won't get here in time thing" then just go out and buy some trunks and one thing of dream tan where the non e-bodybuilders go to get the stuff. There's gotta be somewhere nearby. I'm curious to see how many people made it to the finals.
