| Incognito | 5/5/06 Friday Back / Abs / Cardio night One of my favorite nights of the week. Lat Pulldowns 8-10 x 5 (mixed grip from widde to narrow) Deadlifts 2-10 x 4 (working sets to 360) felt good, I have a habit of going overboard on these lifts so I keep it in check now as to not stress my back out. Smith Machine Bent Rows (yes, mixed it up a bit tonight, got to have some variation now and then) 6-10 x 3 Abs Hanging Leg Raises 20-25 x 3 Weighted Ab Crunches 15-20 x 3 Cardio: what else? Treadmill 30 minutes 15 degree incline. Last 5 minutes felt a bit lightheaded, must have totally burnt thru any cabrs I had left in my body. Weight this morning was 222.0 so I'm hovering around my new base nicely. If my charts thus far hold true, I should be breaking thru this early next week to around 220ish. Overall a pretty decent workout. I give it a 8.0 One point of me getting pretty mad, I was adding weights to the Bar for Deads and a 10lb plate fell off the side rack on my head. Ever see anyone toss a plate across the gym like a frisbee? We have a lot of idiots in our gym that just throw plates everywhere. Saturday is off day. Upper body is shaved down, have some tanning stuff that FnF bought but a bit chicken to try it out for May update pics this weekend. Don't worry it will be boxers this weekend, no speedos for this kid. |

| Incognito | Sunday 5/7/06 Well, just got through doing my May picture updates: http://ironmass.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6811 I think I've made decent progress in my recomp for a month. You can be the judge. Dropped 7 pounds of fat and gained some lean mass at the same time. Weighed in at 221 this morning. Thanks to EME (Michael) for his efforts in my diet and training. :nosthumbs: Tonight is Chest / Tri's / Abs / Cardio My elbow tendons are a bit sore today and my back is feeling the Friday w/o big time. Think it's time for the hottub treatment ![]() |

| Incognito | 5/7/06 Sunday Chest / Tir's Well I won;t even bother posting my workout tonight. I had one of the worst w/o's since I can remember. I didn't feel great and excited about going in the first place and maybe the attitude carried over. I felt weak as hell on Incline DB Press. For example, I did (3) sets the otherr week of 95's 10/8/6. Today, I layed back and couldn't even get them up in position the first try. Second try I did 7 reps. I gave up and went to Hammer Strength Bench. Did pretty well there, comparable to last week but still felt week at the higher weights. I did about the same a bit worse than last week on triceps. At that point I was pissed, FNF was having a great workout and I was a dickhead to her. (Sorry hun) I said the hell with Abs and Cardio and went to sit in the Steam Room for a while. Felt good on my joints and tendons. Maybe I should have taken the night off. I can't remember the last time I've had a workout like this and hopefully it was just an off night. | Silver Member | hey viper....shrug it off. at least u went and did something. i know it goes against our nature to accept mediocrity in our workouts.....but sometimes the body and mind don't wanna come together and theres nothin we can do about it. we all know ur strong and that you will tear hell off the hinges next time. keep up the good work....i think u are makin great strides man. have a great day tomorrow. |

| Incognito | 5/8/06 Monday Legs / Abs / Cardio Had a better than average w/o tonight. I'd give it a 8.0 on Legs. Energy levels were good, Squats felt a bit heavy tonight but got through them well. Leg Press was tortureous as I w/o'd with a younger kid that was using light weight so instead of changing weights back and forth I decided to really concentrate on feet together, slow movements, high reps and burn the hell outa my outer quads. Afte 3 sets of this, he booked, and I piled on some weight and did 2 more sets. Drop sets on the Leg Extensions almost made me cry and puke at the same time. God those hurt soooooo good. Leg Curls were a strain, drop sets on those as well. Then I hobbled literally over to the Treadmill. The first 10 minutes were killer, my knees wouldn't even bend right. Got throught the cardio and just drenched 3/4's of my tank, moved on to abs and blew those away. My abs are definitely getting stronger So overall, I was pleased with tonights efforts. 222.5 on the scale this morning, no surprise as yesterday was carb-up day.Hack Squat 8-10 x 4 6 x 1 Leg Press 10-12 x 4 7-10 x 2 Leg Extensions 10-15 x 3 x 2 drops sets Leg Curl 10-15 x 3 x 2 drop sets Abs Crunches 25 x 3 Hanging Leg Raise 20 x 3 Cardio: Treadmill at 15 degree incline 30 minutes. (I burn 460 cals consistenly on this for anyone who cares). ![]() That's all for tonight's update. Definitely better than last nights w/o :nosthumbs: |
