| Incognito | Had a good Delts/Biceps/Cardio workout tonight. Since some of you guys are numbers guys, here's a quick summary. I changed up from Smith Militarys to Hammer Strength Free Weights. 5 sets up to 210 Smith Shrugs 4 sets in front up to 325 2 sets rear 225 Triple Supersets Front Lateral/Side Lateral/Rear Lateral 20 lb DB's. These are killer. First 2 sets went decent but by the time I get to Rear my Delts/Arms are fried. I did a 3rd set and came back after a breather and did Rear Delts by themselves with 40's. Biceps Standing Curl 3 sets with 95 Preacher 3 sets with 75 Hammers 2 sets with 35's My arms get stiff by the time I get to these. Not that my biceps are really burning, but the motion of the Hammer curl just doesn't want to come up all the way by the 2nd and 3rd set. Kind of like a huge lactic acid buildup or something. My tendons are recovering nicely, but man did I lose strength on biceps with those tears. Cardio, 30 minutes treadmill 15 degree incline. Sweat like a pig ![]() You can practically count the strands of muscle throughout my shoulders now during my w/o's, my Traps are starting to perk up for a change. I'll keep sprinkling fertilizer on them and pray for growth. Overall, I'd say the w/o was about an 8.5 I could have pushed my biceps more, but have to still be careful. |

Nice VS..... That's some great progess in a short time...... The combo of that diet and that shoulder superset does that... I've got the same thing coming back myself now. ( I do the same shoulder superset, and I have all my competitors doing that too.... it is killer ) Great Work! - EME

Well I wouldn't say that they magically appeared in the last 3 weeks since I've started the diet, but they have become alot more defined for sure. I am really having pscyhological <sp> issues lately as I feel like I'm getting smaller. FnF says it's just the fat going away, she may be right. My shoulders are getting more defined as is my chest and arms, but overall I don't "look/feel" as big as I was. Maybe I'm just weird, cause my workout numbers sure aren't going down. Someone slap me please.... ![]() | |

| Incognito | NS, thanks for the reply and support, glad to hear I'm not going crazy here I've spent the last few days looking in the mirror and thinking, I'm getting smaller, but yet my muscles are getting more defined, pretty weird feeling. I'm definitely liking the way my 36 inch waist pants are hanging off me and I had to cut a new notch in my belt Take care and have a good night. |

The thing you have to keep in mind is..... do you want to be "BIG" because you have extra fat all over your body? Or, do you want to get rid of that fat, and then eventually be "Big" because you have lean muscle busting out everywhere. Remember that this phase is part of a bigger process. It doesn't stop at the end of this 12 weeks. This is really just the beginning of transforming your physique into what it's going to become. Also, just for the record.... when I'm in contest shape.... people have no idea I'm a bodybuilder in street clothes. When I go in the gym in contest shape I have people lined up at the end of the bench to ask questions, but people outside the gym.. at work for instance.. think I'm getting "skinny" again. They have no freaking idea..... Once, I took someone to my gym who only saw me in office attire during the week. This was about 2-3 weeks out from the Oklahoma, when everyone thought I was "too skinny" at work. The person literally about fell on the floor when I showed up in a stringer tank..... they had no idea that's what I looked like under my clothes. When you get ripped... you will be physically smaller than when you are bulked.... but you will look sooo much better. Focus on the improvement to your physique... not how physically "big" you are.... that extra fat wasn't really doing anything for you anyway.... - EME

| Incognito | Thanks for the response EME. I understand where your coming from. I took off my clothes after work today to change into my w/o clothes and I can definitely see my lateral delts getting cut which makes them "look" bigger. I also weighed in at 224.5 a new low, which is making me feel good. Had a great w/o tonight, hit back hard, but stayed away from Deadlifts. Cardio for the full 30 minutes at 15 degrees again Took longer strides the last 15 to really work the ham's harder. I'm really amazed at the diet you have me on. I look in the mirror and think, dammit where were you last year? I probably have made more progress in the past 3 weeks with you than I have in the last 6 months for overall appearance :nosthumbs Not putting any pressure on the JW thing, if there are any opportunities, just let me know. This has been a fun and rewardful ride so far, so let's rip it up together ![]() |
