My stance was a bit in between sumo and conventional but I still consider it sumo since it was more wider. ~I'll leave the wrist curls to the arm day. Too much blood flowin in the wrists...I was unable to curl em. ~I have to give credit to CEE, I've noticed huge strength gains from it. This is my first time using it (and dropping Kre-Alk) and my lifts are up.

I incorporated the SLDs to hit more of the hamstrings. Oh, I finally remember why I don't do Military Presses...it's cuz I suck at it. lol. I dunno, I enjoy using DBs but when it comes to Military Presses, it becomes a burden. ~Hise Shrugs to tap it off was a pleasure. The last set when I unracked it, I felt some pain around the hip area and tried to fix my position. Midway through of 16 reps, I tried to widen my stance which in turn, made me lose a bit of my balance. I stopped at 16 to avoid any injuries. My hip feels fine, it just felt like I unracked a really heavy squat. Foreshadowing of a few weeks, I propose? ![]()

It must be a psychological thing but when you have people around watching you lift (quietly, of course) it feels great and gives you an excuse to complete each rep. I know you're supposed to leave your ego at the door but why, when you can use it to your advantage to lift more? ~Good workout. ~After I hit these goals, I'll be doing a WSB routine, maybe WSBFSB. And yes things are going very well pman. I expect to complete my goals mid-week July. ![]()

I'll be working more on the form for that exercise and gradually adding the weight.

It might have to do with the fact that I got 6-7 hours of sleep last night, opposed to the usual 8. Or it might be because I just didn't feel like lifting today. I decided to try out box squats to get my interest going. Everything went smooth. My only option was to use low weight to get the form going. Unfortunately, my ego got in the way and I wanted to try out 170. I lifted with ease and descended to the box, only to drop the whole bar over my back and onto the floor. So stupid. My spotter nearly lost his knees. Anyways, my back started to hurt like crazy right after. But I pushed onward to the SLDs which wasn't good. I ended the workout at the DBs because I was too exhausted and my back was in a lot of pain. I could distinguish the pain between the lower back having a good pump and pain. ~Anyways, at least I got a new PR for my DB Shoulder Presses. ...![]()

I didn't put ice on it because I didn't really think it was that serious. I might be receiving the consequences but hopefully it's just a small, minor disturbance. ~Today's workout was very good. My intentions for these week's workouts was to take it down a notch and focus more on mass building. Although, I feel like every time I workout and not hit a PR, it's a waste of time. So I just had to hit something new. All is well!

| FDU Devils Weightlifter | I would watch it, with that little pain in your back, because it can become a BIG pain. I know its not related, but I fell playing soccer and injured my back (3 vertebrae went out) and I didnt get it looked at right away and it took a year to fix. another note: I've heard that maxing out 1rep singles isn't to good for building. At least thats what I've been told, I dont know what anyone else has to say about it. I personally 1RM (1repmax) once a month to check progress. Anyhow, it looks like your doing great, you'll be at that 300deadlift in no time. Also 2.5's are your best friend!

![]() Yeah the pain subsided this morning and kinda came back during work a little after when I was helping repair and put up shelves. It may have to do with the incident with the box squats or maybe the odd position I had to undergo during the shelf assembly. I'll listen intentively in the next couple of days of rest and maybe get it checked by a chiro. I max out my 1 rep maxes to increase power and strength. My goals for this summer season is to gain strength in the lifts recorded in my sig. I'll usually end off my exercises with one or two sets of 4-8 reps (mass building and strength purposes; I could be wrong). But as of right now, I want to reach those goals and then make some new ones. Anyways, thanks again for coming by.

Yesterday was pretty awesome. Me, my family, and a whole whack of our friends went to the park. I consumed nearly 3500 calories that day...only to lose them all, while playing a freakin rough game of two-hand touch football (trust me, two-hand can be as rough as hell). At the end of the day I was full of mixed-emotions, as I had lost all the calories I was trying to bulk upon... and I scored 4 TDs. ![]() ~I didn't knoe whether or not to do squats today. I was still pretty burned out from yesterday and my lower back area was a bit sore. But at the end of the workout I had enough energy and I didn't want to leave it as that. So I pressed onward. My form dwindled a bit: My back became more rounded as I ascended and I would go parallel instead of below. ~But everything is well. I'll probably do chest/triceps tomorrow or take a day off and go on Sunday. later.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Hey guys! Well, bad news: my back is screwed up. Well, I don't know the technical or medical details but from the pain and the discomfort I'm feeling, it's not good at all. I'll have to ban all movements that involve the lower back area (may have to do with lumbar region of the spinal cord). It's not muscle pain, I know that, but it hurts in the back where the spine and the hip meet. My mother, who fortunately happens to be a nurse, told me to stop any specific lifting involving the lower back. I'll follow her advice and get some x-rays on it. Hopefully this isn't anything too serious but I've been having pain ever since the last workout (I knew I should've dropped the squats). So anyways, I gotta split so I'll talk to you guys soon. God bless.

Put some ice on it for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off and take some type of anti-inflammatory medicine, like aspirin. You should be fine in 7-10 days.
