2/21: Maximum Effort – Squat/Deads

ATG Squats: 135x8, 185x6, 225x3, 275x3, 315x1, 405x1, 435x0, 315x3 (2min rests)

Seated Good Mornings: 365x6, 375x5 (60s rests)
Underhand CG Seated Rows: 327x8, 327x8 (60s rests)

EZ Curls: 160x12, 145x12 (60s rests)

+ stretching

Comments: Good session despite squats sucking. Calves are just too beat up, and I had no spring off the bottom. CNS is pretty fatigued, it needs some rest. Had to keep focus after my missed squat so I wouldn’t drag ass the rest of the session. Everything else went great.

How the heck does your YMCA cables have so much weight on them? I can't do BTB Pushdowns because our cables only go up to 120. Can you like add weight to it somehow?

Correct. For BTB presses I am adding over 100lbs of DB's to the stack, which tops at 204lbs.

haha. I've thought about PLing, but there are too many things I do not like about it. I am 100% natural, and knowing I would be competing against possible users (even in "natural" or "clean" federations) would bother me - that just isn't fair on its own. I train raw (well, belt on heavy squats), and have no desire to start using suits to boost my lifts. Besides all that, I am just not ideally built for setting any strength records (torso too short, legs too long, arms not long enough).

They do have raw federations, but if your just into bodybuilding that's fine. I think if you ever do get into powerlifting (whether it be with/out gear and equipment) you would do well.

Yeah, that is true. Bodybuilding is something I am kind of done with. I am the size I want to be, don't really want to get any bigger - just want to keep getting stronger while staying around 210lbs, cut (if I gain mass along the way, so be it). I told a friend if I ever pull 700 raw I will enter a raw meet and pull it at 210lbs, lol. Give me a few years on that one...
