Day 6.5

went to chiro before training today, adjusted my lowerback, wrist and thumb and taped up my back a bit.

bw was 91.7kg, its going down! Snatchs felt pretty good today, thumb is still in bad shape.

bw was 92.4kg... iunno. Cutting out protien shakes before GSG, so I can be lighter or so. Snatchs were VERY explosive today. Been visualizing the meet all week and going to keep up on it. Can't wait. Snatchs were nice and slow off the floor and really explosive 2nd pull. Good day.

June 28th

Garden State Games

Hottest place ever! The gym the platform was in, was humid and hot and great. The warmup room downstairs, was much cooler and a great place for a gym. Great atmosphere there. Weighed in at 90.55kg

Snatch warmups

40x3+2OHS x 2
45x2+2OHS
50x2
55x1x2
60x1 [powersnatch, felt eh]

1st attempt :
65x - Dimas'd it, just a pull, blanked out.
2nd attempt
65 - 3 white lights - PowerSnatched it, easy lift
3rd attempt
70 - 2 white lights - Powersnatched it, ran forward to save it, shoulder moved back and i got a red light for it.


Clean and Jerk Warmups

bar for a few reps
50x2+2x2
60x2+2
65x1+1
70x1+1x2
75x1+1x2

1st Attempt
80 - 3 whites, easy lift. Back foot didn't get far enough back.
2nd Attempt
85 - 3 whites, jerk was explosive, but a bit rough, easy though.
90x - spent to much time at the top of the pull. bar was racked a bit in front, and it slipped on my sweaty shoulders. Had I chalked it, probably would have lost it anyway.

Went downstairs after the 90kg, and took it downstairs and made it. Just pulled 95kg, will make it soon.


Took Bronze Medal in the 94's w/ 155kg total.
