| Pro Stature | I'm back from my knee and shoulder injury and I was cleared so that I can finally start hitting the gym again. I bought the GNC pro performance whey protien and I'm going to buy Body Fortress Creatine Powder. I'll take some pics when I get home from school so be prepared. I haven't been to a gym in 3 months and have basically been sitting on the couch doing nothing and playing world of warcraft. Swim season starts in October so I have to cut back on all this weight I've gained. I'm at 170 right now and wanting to get down to 150. I want to slim down and get lean muscle not mass so I have to do low weight and high reps I'm guessing. |

I use the terms mass and lean muscle interchangeably.... mass = lean muscle, anything excess is just fat. Muscle is muscle, fat is fat, and how much you have of each will determine how you look. Your size/weight/body composition will have a lot more to do with your diet, especially if your goal is to retain as much muscle mass as you can while dropping 20lbs. Higher reps of course have their place in training, but don't deny the power of heavy lifting.... you'll be selling yourself short (no problem with working up to it, but don't stay away from it). Work in a variety of rep ranges, get that diet dialed in, and you'll be good to go. | |

| Pro Stature | Yeah only problem about going to the gym is school and work and its pretty hard to find a time to go when both of those things are going on at once. |

| Pro Stature | I have to work today 4 - close so I won't be home till 11 and my gym closes at 10 so I can't go today. I'm off tomorrow so I'm gonna go and do chest and arms. I'll post my routine when I get done |

| Pro Stature | Alright hit hte gym pretty hard today I'm doing mainly core workouts to get back into it. Hammers 3x5 Leapers 3x5 Dual Rows 3x5 Bench Press 3x5 Squats 3x5 Bicep Curls 3x5 Tricep press 3x5 Ran 10 minutes for a mile and 1/4 Felt good but couldn't stay long |

| Pro Stature | Yeah today at the gym I felt good Curls 3x5 Squats 3x5 Calf Extentions 3x5 Deadlift 3x5 Powercleans 3x5 Hammers 3x5 Leapers 3x5 Did some ab work towards the end I can't stay at the gym long because my mom has to take me so that she can go as well. So I'm only there for 35 - 45 minutes. |

| Pro Stature | Not going to the gym today on account I'm extremely sore and I can't walk right. I'm takin a few days to rest and work so I'll probalby be back in the gym on sunday. |

| Pro Stature | Went to the gym yesterday but didn't have time to log in Had a really good workout but got some funny looks from the people that don't do powercleans and such. 3 x 5 Deadlifts 3 x 5 Powercleans 3 x 5 Hang cleans 3 x 5 Front press 3 x 5 Squats 3 x 5 Bicep curls 50 - 80 ( I added 10 each time I did a set) 3 x 5 Lat Pulldownds Felt really strong at the end and couldn't lift my arms I got a new personal record on my powerclean since my injury and its 135 x 3 Woot! And yes I did play a couple of hours of wow when I get home :geek: |

| Pro Stature | Yeah I'm basically doing all core lifts and full body workouts. I want to start doing military presses and stuff like that but my gym that I'm at is very cramped and doesn't have the space. They also don't have padded floors for lifting so I can't drop the weight down because it might crack the floor and I dont' feel like getting kicked out of the gym. |
