Starting tomorrow I am going back to a Keto diet.

You know why? Because it's easier to maintain during a college lifestyle!

lol. Seriously though, it will be a lot easier for me to accomplish and cheaper too. Fat is cheap. I bought sausage at 1.99 per pound... a pound of sausage like a days worth of food!

I went to the store and bought eggs, flax meal, and sausage, I already have evoo.

I just really think this will be better for me. I'm going to do it a week or two and see how it goes. Right now I'm a little frustrated because I'm sick and can't exercise.

Yeah, the first time doing keto is so magical! The effects start to 'mellow' out, but yeah typically that's how it goes I think the reason people are so against it is because of carb sensitivy

It's not that I'm against keto per se, I just don't think it makes for a good long-term lifestyle. Carb cycling has it's place, I think it's the best way to cut down, but it isn't the way to pack on muscle, IMO. If you're cutting right now Skel, I think going keto is actually a good thing, I was just being funny before. I do kinda think you're going too high in saturated fat, with the 1lb of sausage per day... any food source where the amount of protein is dwarfed by the amount of fat is something I'd avoid. It's better to eat chicken, tuna, cottage cheese, and use flax oil, pb, and olive oil as your fat sources, with plenty of fibrous veggies. I guess you know what work for you though, and what fits in your budget... I'm just speaking my mind as I often do.

I think traditional Keto diets aren't that great. I would rather, and currently do, use a bastardized form of a Timed Keto Diet. Although I do cycle my carbs a bit too.

Yeah I learned my lesson about long term keto dieting. I'm thinking keto should only be done for a month or two at a time tops, but really I want to do something like 2 weeks on 1 week off.

I'm not going to eat just sausage you silly madman

Why not?

You've got to do something stupid, or I'll have nothing to ridicule.

Old habits die hard, Skel. I know what you mean about fat being cheap. Its universal, I think. Are you going to summer school or are you done in April, like the rest of us collegiates?
