Default Master Of Puppets: Survival Of The Sickest

Hi, I am MOP as many of you know. I stopped lifting a while ago, and need to get started back up. I don't want to train like I was before though, I will be trying to get stronger, because I am freaking weak, and lazy.

I am between 5'7 and 5'9, weigh around 185lbs., and I think I am around 17% bodyfat or so.

last time I tested my maxes, last time I remember anyways, they were:

Bench: 135
Squat: 225
Deadlift: 255

I have been screwing around a little in my basement, nothing too serious though. I am going to be a thrower in track, and I will log my progress here.

The journal will start as soon as I figure out the lifting scheme, etc. It will basically be the first time lifting in a real gym so we'll see how this works out.

By the end of the summer, I want between a 900 and 1000 total at my current bodyweight or less.

I think you can do it, the 900lb + total that is. Your going to have to work your ass off smart and hard. How long have you been training (overall)?

hmm.. I just say, keep the reps low, work on form (video tape it, and post it) and just keep pushing hard.

I'm 16. I have to do whatever the coaches tell me to do for the track season, but once that's over I will definitely hit the heavy weights. idk bout posting vids, but I could try.

no clue. Haven't stepped foot in the weight room yet lol.

My guess is it won't be half bad ie. Monday: squats, bench, cleans, lat pulldown, curls Wednesday: same as monday except replace deads with cleans, Friday: same as monday

prolly something like that.

huhn really? I would be expecting more of an oly emphasis. what kinda track you doing? sprints or longer stuff?

I don't have to worry much about lifting interfering with practice because we lift as part of practice.

yup all that in one day I am assuming. This is just a test so the school will set up a program based off of what I put down. I will probably just do a warmup set and then the work set. I can choose to do high reps or low.

Here's how it is set up:

the exercise name weight reps completed


I will make sure I at least get cleans, squats, bench, snatch and push press in, and then go from there.

Ab machine: none
Back Squat: didn't do
Flat Bench: 135x6
Tri cable machine: didn't do
Clean and Jerk: didn't do
Cleans: didn't do
DB bench: 35x12
DB lunge: didn't do
DB military: 45x8
Front Squat: didn't do
Incline Bench: didn't do
Jammer: 90x5 (on my sheet I accidentally put 135x5 because I counted a bar in there LOL)
Lat Pulldown: 110x10
Leg Curl: didn't do
Push Press: didn't do
Rows: 110x10
Snatch: didn't do

Not really anything lower body. Weight room was pretty crowded today.
