Default Going out on a limb here

Well, in my youth i have exhausted all my resources and all I have is a curl bar with 4x22lb, 2x11lb, and 2x2.75lb plates. This summer I'm trying to do a full body program with a curl bar and less than 200lbs of weight. In all honesty its not possible (most likely) but I feel justified in my insanity because after each hour plus session of curls(no..really?) and some modified curls and presses I feel like i just spent an hour in the gym. What do you old salty dogs think?

Its important to train the rest of your body in addition to training your arms. We all would love to have biceps like Arnold or Kevin Levrone but in order to make that look good the rest of your body has to be in proportion.

If you have a curl bar you can actually do a fair bit. You can use it to do standing shoulder press, bent over rows, tricep extensions, squats, etc. Just be creative and adapt regular lifts to accommodate the shorter bar and you'll be fine.

ps. I'm not old and only salty if I haven't showered...is it ok that I replied?

well ive not forgotten the legs, but i tore them up in high school training for track and field so im giving them a month. my knee also needs to improve from recent tendonitis issues. I think im just gonna bite the bullet and buy a bowflex...or not. (that was a joke for the record) I'm working some bars, benches, and probably 400-500lbs of plates into my budget.

if you pick up an olympic bar and some weights you'll really be able to do basically everything. You can find them reasonably priced and it'll really help you gain if you have a full sized bar to work with.
