Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 71 | Just read through the thread. Deeply sorry about your injury and glad that your recovery is going well. I bet once you're able to train again you will regain your size back pretty quickly, muscle memory is an amazing thing. Not that I'm glad this happened to you, but I'm glad I could see what could happen to someone without proper warmups and stretching. I'll be extra sure to do those. It's great to see you have had such a positive attitude throughout this whole ordeal. You can bet that will help with full recovery. Oh, why do you use a different whey when cutting and bulking? |

Hey Zeke... Thanks! As for the Whey, it's simply a matter of taste. I drink my Whey Protein with Skim Milk when I'm bulking and for that, I really like ON 100% Whey. When cutting, however, I mix my protein with water, and I like the Dymatize Elite whey much better with water. - EME

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Dreamsicle is the only flavor that I have tried. I liked it really well, so I've stayed with it. It's the best tasting protein powder mixed with water that I have ever had. - EME Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Well, a little good news to report. My left arm, which had been down to 14.25 in ( from 16.75 ), is now up to 14.50 in. So, my minimal exercises with no weight are actually helping to fill the arm back out again. It still looks very small compared to the way it looked prior to the tear and immobilization, but it's moving in the right direction! :bigthumbu Just 5 more days until I get the sling off, and until I should get to start doing some limited lower body and cardio training again. I'm really hoping the additional mobility will help my atrophied muscle start filling back out again. Hey, I'm up .25 in on the left arm already. That's a good start! - EME

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Up another 1/8th of an inch on my left arm. I know, that may not seem like much... but after watching it go the other direction daily for 6 weeks, I'm happy to see the tape measure going up! Currently 14 5/8 in. ( up from 14 1/4 at its lowest point about a week ago. ) I'm going to ask my doc at my appointment on Friday if he'll let me start doing some really light dumbbell arm work. :fingersxd - EME

| Pro Stature | Mike, Since it used to be much larger than now, do you think your arm will regain its size much quicker than it originally took you to get them to their size before the injury? OK....I've read that sentence 5 times and it still makes sense to me, so hopefully it does to you. :fingersxd

LOL. I think I know what you mean. Yes, I'm sure it will take much less time to regain my size than it originally took to get there. I had been training for 20 years before the year you know! Honestly, I don't think it will take that long at all... a few months max once I can begin full training again. In less than two weeks, I've added 3/8 of an inch doing curl motions with no weight a few times per day. On another note.. tomorrow morning is my follow up doctor appointment to find out if I can get rid of the sling and start rehab.... and also I'll find out if I can get back in the gym and start doing legs and cardio again. :fingersxd - EME |
