Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Good News! I had my LAST appointment with my orthopedic surgeon yesterday! He has now removed all restrictions from my training and I can go back to free weights on everything immediately!!! :5hammer: < EME does the happy dance. ( OK... that's not Really me ) Of course, I have to take it easy and progress slowly, but I can now train each bodypart as I see fit from here on. I also don't have to go back to the doc at all unless I have a problem. So..... I figure I might as well jump back on the horse! Free weight chest and shoulders tonight! This will be my first free weight chest exercise in more than 21 weeks! As of this week, my diet and routine is switching from cutting to lean mass building. I'm upping my total cals, carbs, and protein and starting the process of putting the size back on. 200... here I come! - EME

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 62 | Awesome news, EME!!! Your patience and positive attitude in the face of this major injury have been inspiring. I whine like a baby if I have to take a week off to let some tendonitis subside for crying out loud. There's no doubt, you will be back to your usual big and buff self before you know it. ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Thanks everyone! I'm back from the first post tear, barbell chest workout! I started very slow, but it did feel good to have the bar in my hands again. Here's how it went: Barbell Flat Bench - 5 Sets 45 lbs ( the bar ) - 15 reps 65 lbs - 15 reps 85 lbs - 10 reps 95 lbs - 6 reps 95 lbs - 6 reps Barbell Incline Bench - 3 Sets 65 lbs - 10 reps 65 lbs - 6 reps 65 lbs - 6 reps Low Cable Standing Flyes - 3 Sets 30 lbs - 10 reps - all 3 Sets Seated Dumbell Press - 3 Sets 25 lbs - 10 reps - all 3 Sets Barbell Shrugs - 3 Sets 135 lbs - 10 reps - all 3 Sets Dumbell Side Laterals - 3 Sets 10 lbs - 10 reps - all 3 Sets. That's it for starters. Nothing too monumental, but it definitely felt great to be moving the Olympic Bar again and to get the blood flowing back into my chest again! - EME

I don't post all my workouts, but they are going well. Chest is holding up great. No problems so far. As for getting ripped, I had striated quads this morning when I woke up... not just vertical seperation, but visible horizontal striation in the vastus lateralis ( outer quad ) and full seperation between all the major quad muscles. ![]() Cutting time is over for me though.... I'm working on mass now. I'll post more updates when I have more time! - EME

I'm actually more worried about tearing the other side more than I am about tearing this one again. However, I think the time off has probably allowed the other side to heal as well. Last year, I experienced a pull or strain in my right pec very similar to the one I experienced in my left pec a couple months before it actually tore. I'm not having any problems with either of them now. Actually, from all the reading that I've done about this injury during my downtime, I learned that the chance of reoccurance of a tear in the same pec is actually very low if surgery is done promptly after the injury and it's allowed to heal properly. Regardless, I'm proceeding cautiously. 95 lbs on the flat bench, and 65 lbs on the incline is as heavy as I've gone so far. Once I get up to a little bit higher working weight I will probably ditch flat bench alltogether and move to dumbbells and incline bench only. For now though, I like flat bench because it allows me to use free weights and it's easier for me to control and balance the straight bar than dumbbells for the time being. Thanks for the concern! - EME

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Hey everyone... Week two on the free weights is going well. My morning weight is up 6-8 lbs since starting back on all free weights last week. Benched with the quarters on again this week and did 3 sets of 10 with no problem. The weight feels light, but the pec does get a little tight by the last rep or two. I was tempted to do a set with 35's... but I'm not going to. Next time I'll put another 5 on each side and see how it feels. I did T-Bar Rows for the first time this week. I did three sets with 45 and a 25 on there with no problem. I'll probably go up to two 45's next week. That particular exercise doesn't bother the pec at all. I'm still using 10's for my shoulder laterals, 25's for shoulder presses, and 135 for barbell shrugs. All light weights, but I just have to take it slow. I'm going to do free weight squats for the first time in 6 months next week. Slow and steady, but so far, so good! Also, I am now on the Ultimate of all Ultimate ALRI stacks. Get a load of this! 6:30 AM 1 Venom Hyperdrive 3.0 2 Venom Special Tactics 1 Thyrogen-X 4 N'Gorge 1 Jungle Warfare 12:00 PM 2 Venom Special Tactics 1 Thyrogen-X 4 CR2 ( Creatine Ethyl Ester ) 1 Jungle Warfare 6:00 PM - Pre Workout 2 Scoops Primed 4 N'Gorge 1 Jungle Warfare 8:00 PM - Post Workout 2 Scoops Regeneration-X 4 CR2 10:00 PM 2 Venom Lean Dreams Yep....... time to get big and ripped again! ![]() - EME

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | OK, now that I'm cleared to hit the free weights again, I thought I'd take a few pics to measure my progress. Next week is 6 months post tear. Hopefully 6 months from now I'll be looking a LOT better. ( Hopefully in 6 weeks I'll be looking a lot better! ) Sorry for the crappy pics. I was trying to take them myself with the self timer on the camera, but you should get the idea. ![]() - EME
