We may do something like that, although Kendra doesn't really ever get out of shape so the pictures aren't really that dramatic like they are for bodybuilders.

She smoothes out some and retains a little more water in the offseason, but Kendra's highest offseason weight is only about 10-12 lbs over her contest weight, so we never really do the transformation pics for her.

More than likely, I'll post some pics as the show gets closer and her cuts start really coming out, like I did for the Europa.... 1 Month out, 5 days out, etc.

The Arnold invites go out around the third week of December, so we should know something in a couple more weeks.

If she gets an invite, then we will really step things up immediately with her routine trainig and diet.

If she doesn't get the invite this time, we're still going to continue preparing as if she was doing a show so she can be in her best shape for our Arnold appearance, but we won't take her all the way down to contest shape and we'll spend our time working on her new routines for the 2006 season.

Keep your fingers crossed for us. She REALLY wants to be in the Arnold. :fingersxd

Thanks Trick!

Awesome workout tonight.

I usually train by myself, but tonight I had a buddy who I train with occasionally come in and do chest and tri's with me.

He's about 225 and a little stronger on chest than I am, so we hit the dumbbells hard tonight.

I warmed up with 80's, then hit 2 sets with the 100's for 8-10 reps, and finished off with 115's for about 6 clean reps.

That is the first time I have gone over about 80's since injuring my chest earlier this summer and it felt great... no pain whatsoever.

I am REALLY liking the Get Diesel NOS Ether. My strength is really going up on everything.

I bumped my carbs and protein back up yesterday and today, and man what a difference in the gym.

Saturday and Sunday I felt really flat, but today was great.
Definitely a fun night in the gym.

I like days like this. :bigthumbu

Thanks Six.

Quick update.

Weight holding steady at about 200. I haven't really been pushing it to gain any more. I feel very happy with the gains I have made since August ( up 35 lbs ) and my bodyfat is now right at the top of where I want it to be.

I'm actually looking forward to starting cutting in a few weeks. I've got the bug to start getting ripped again.

Today was Back and Bi's.

I've noticed I've been a little flat on Saturdays lately.

On Saturdays I eat egg white omelets in the morning, and I try to sleep in a little later, and I train earlier in the day than I do during the week.

The net result is, I'm not getting in as many carbs before my workout as I do during the week. I'm going to try to up my carb intake on Saturday and Sunday for the last few weeks of my bulk to try to feel a little stronger and fuller on Saturdays and Sundays.

Tomorrow is my 10 set squat workout, and my buddy I trained with on Tuesday is going to hit them with me. That should be fun because I usually have to do them by myself with no spotter. I should be able to push it a little harder tomorrow.

I'll take my last set of bulking pics and measurements the week before Christmas.

I can't believe my bulking phase is almost over already.
My how time flyes!

ANy ideas of what weight you are shooting for contest? Do you think 170-175 is possible?

Yep, that's exactly what I'm going for.

I'd like to step on stage at 175, but, I also want to be harder than last year... so if it takes 170, then that's what I'll be.

I really think 175 is about right though. I should have gained at least 10 lbs LBM this bulking phase. I'm quite a bit bigger than I was at the end of my mass building phase last year, and 14-15 pounds heavier than at this time last year also.

One thing about it, since this is a Pro show, there are no weight classes, so I don't have to worry about what I weigh, just that I look my best.

Good stuff... Yeah I saw that the show doesn't have weight classes... it should be really interesting how your package compares to others on stage. When you showed me who won last year, I was shocked... there is some world class talent in this competiton!

I know EME will represent and do quite well!

Thanks Trick!

I'm going to do my best. I'll be smaller than a lot of the top guys, but I'll try to come in super ripped with polished posing and presentation.

Honestly, this year will probably be a great learning experience, and in the next few years, I hope to be able to challenge for the top spots.

I think of it kind of like David Henry in the Olympia this year.

Yesterday was the big 10 set squat day.

My buddy who was going to do them with me didn't show up. ( This is why I train by myself... no one lasts more than a few workouts... LOL )

But, a cool consolation was that when I arrived at the gym our resident Powerlifting crew was just starting on the squat rack and they asked me if I wanted to join in with them.

We have a crew of about 4-5 guys who have competed at National and World levels in Powerlifting. They put up some big weights and it was fun to hit my squat workout with them, even though I use a lot less weight.

Hey AFR,

Yeah, it's pretty tough.

I do two leg days per week. One day is the 10 Set Squat routine, and on the other day I do Hack Squats, Leg Extensions, Leg Curls, etc..

The 10 set routine goes like this:

1st Set 10 reps
Each additional set, take the weight up 10 lbs and do one less rep

So I start at 225 for 10 reps and finish at 315 for 1 rep.

I also do a variation where I start at 145 and go up by 20 lbs each set, finishing at 325.

I go really really low on my squats, so that my butt is significantly down below my knees.

I haven't gone really heavy squatting in quite a while, but I bet I could probably still get at least 405 going parallel.

Thank you everyone for following my Mass Building Thread.

As most of you know, on Dec. 13th I suffered a major pec tear and underwent surgery on Dec. 19th to repair it.

Unfortunately, that injury has brought this log to an end.

However, I have started a new recovery log at the link below.

http://ironmass.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4632

Once fully recovered, I look forward to renewing my quest for Mass.
For now, the focus is on recovery.

Thanks again for all the support and encouragement throughout this log.
