Tested my bodyfat % today with "fat track 2" digital calipers. Apparently I'm 10.7%. I find this amusing considering I have a 35inch waist (along belly button :P). I think I'll put these away now :P

Also, while doing some lifting around the house for mum, I noticed a new thing in my physique... Vein's running from chest/shoulders to arms... Not overly pronounced but noticeable (mum noticed first :P). Amusing how I'm losing the weight.

You think thats amusing huh? over 2 weeks ago when I was tested hydrostatically they said I was 11%, Ok if this were true then that means I would have lost like 8 pounds of muscle, because I was first tested at 17.01 just before I started with EME, so either these tests are inaccurate when you get so low, or I am a pile of fat with no muscle, LOL I lost 12 pounds during that 12 weeks, and it was not muscle as my strength went up gradually the whole time, and I have a lot more definition than I started with. So Im thinking that even them, U of M is not accurate, so why bother!!!!!!!!!!

See how it works is, first they take all your measurements, weight, height, age, gender. And then you blow into some machine to see how much air you can expel out of your lungs and they measure the space and weight I guess, then you get dunked, they put it all in a computer and VIOLA a magic number. If you do not fall within a certain pre-calculated profile, then this test is not for you, Sorta like tanita scales which I think are junk. So I quit putting that in my log becuase I knew it could not be right.

So I am not going anymore for that, Im going my the mirror And by the way

Notes:
Today was a very challenging day at the gym. Most probably the most challenging I've ever had in the gym. I worked with a fellow gym goer that I've gotten to know in the place... He's probably the strongest, biggest guy in the gym and turns out he went to the same school as I, except 2 years above me... At anyrate, due to this we decided we'd workout together (kinda silly in one respect seeing as he does so much more weight than I it makes me spotting for him near useless :P).

At anyrate, to the point. He noticed my form wasn't too great on a couple of my leg exercises. Said I wasn't going deep enough (particularly on my Leg Press), and he helped/forced me get it 'good and deep' lol. Ended up that I had to drop the weights down a fair bit (20lb on squats, which wasn't so bad he said for the added 5-6inches of depth, and near 100lb on my legpress LOL). Not sure if dropping the weight by that was a good thing, but oh my did it add a shitload of burn. Especially on the leg press - felt like someone was putting hot coals on my butt cheeks.

at anyrate, workout took me longer than most previously, all up taking 1hr20minutes. lol Felt like I was going to fall over after it, and about to faint. Maybe that's a bad thing, honestly don't know - never worked out that hard before :p

Score: 10/10 if all above described is a good thing, 1/10 if it isn't :P

That's EXACTLY how you're supposed to feel after one of my leg days.

Nice Job!

I was routing for costa rica earlier today when I watched it because I wanted the underdog to win. I couldn't believe Ecudor won.

12th of June, 2006.

Weight AM: 92kg

Monday - Chest, Shoulders, Tri's, and Abs day.

Flat Bench press 3x8-10 -2reps

Superset
Flat DB Press 3x10-15 -3reps
Flat DB Fly 3x 8-10 -5reps

Seated Shoulder Press -failed, shoulder ache-

Hanging Leg Raises 3x20
Decline Crunches 3x18-20

Notes:
No Cardio today, didn't have time.

Weights was extremely disappointing today... after a tough workout on friday it's particularly sad. Lifted less weight, and fewer reps on all my chest work - simply couldn't lift the damn iron.

And if that wasn't bad enough, my shoulder started clicking and grinding when I attempted the seated shoulder press.

Frustrated and pissed off, I did my ab exercises and left the gym :P

Much much better day at the gym today. Didn't have time to split my cardio and weight training sessions up like usual, so it was a change to do it all in 1 hit. Exhausting

Managed to get the strength to up the weights on nearly every exercise which gave me a big smile.

Think I can attribute it to a recent up in carbs (Yes, I been cheating! hehe long nights infront of the telly watching Australia play in the world cup!!! WE WON!! )

Cheats wont happen again, I promise EME. But I had to have a couple of glasses of champagne, and a few snacks! Was too exciting!

This cheating probably also responsible for my longer than usual elivated weight increase after last thursday-friday calorie up days.

hehe fnf. Sorry, but it was good! Let's put it this way... if life is about choices, and the cost to cheating is that it puts me behind a week in my training - it was worth it. Such a great party atmosphere. From being 1-0 down after a dodgy goal was allowed, to getting 3 goals in the last 10minutes of play and winning 3-1, fantastic for our first game in the worldcup in 34years! After watching the match at a friends place we all traveled into the city where there was ~40 thousand people at Federation square and on the streets all cheering and havin' a great time. was fantastic.

Everyone watching the world cup, or does soccer not interest you American's? Too busy watching your crappy "football" which barely uses the feet!

If a bit of cheat stops me from making any progress at all, how will I ever be able to maintain whatever condition I eventually get into!? lol

Sent EME some pics, putting my bf% at around 20-25%. heh. Sad, but I kinda guessed it'd be at something around there. And seeing as Im already down to 90kg it's scarey to think how small I'm gonna have to get to make myself lean. My body must gobble the muscle while cutting. :[ ]
