Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Hey everyone, Here is a new pic taken earlier this evening. I'm currently weighing 175. Sorry this one is a little blurry. I was actually taking some shots of a client and asked him to snap a quick one of me. I plan to take some better ones this weekend. Things are coming along. I'm continuing to drop bodyfat and fill out a little more each week! ![]() Also, for anyone who would like to check them out, here are some pics taken last weekend at the Junior Nationals in Chicago. Some are at our booth, and some are photos I snapped during a photo shoot with Kendra and Krissy Chin. ALR Industries at the 2007 NPC Jr. Nationals - Michael

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Thanks Ikaika. Yes, unfortunately my chest is still much different now than it was before the tear. It still hurts quite a bit when when I get toward the end of chest training sets. I have to stop my sets due to pain/tightness on the tendon rather than giving out due to the number of reps or weight. Strength is still way down compared to pre-tear, but that really isn't a concern to me as long as I'm still progressing aesthetically. I'm not sure if training chest will every be 100% like it was before the injury, but I'm happy with the way it's progressing and the fact that I can do everything again. Thanks again for following my log! Michael

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 13 | I've finally got some time to check out some logs here, and I must say you are looking thick for 175. Definately leaning out well. You train like a maniac. I'll definately be following this.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Hey everyone, Thanks for the comments and for following my log. Some bodyparts are thickening up well, but delts and arms are still really lagging, simply because I haven't been able to train nearly as heavy. Heavy powerlifting style training has always done the most for my delts and arms. Fortunately, I am able to push a little heavier each week now and I'm starting to see some more progress in those areas. On another note...... For the last 6 months I have had the pleasure of prepping Burke, aka Burcules, for the Master's Nationals ( Over Age 60 Division ). We took the pics below this past weekend. Burke is currently 4 Weeks Out from the show. Please wish Burke good luck with his final month of work as he prepares for the stage in Pittsburgh! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Hey Everyone, I know it's been a long time since my last update, but I wanted to drop in and let everyone know how things are going. I'm currently two weeks out from stepping back on stage for my first competition since my pec tear and surgery. It's been quite a journey to get back to this point and I'm excited to finally be able to compete again. Some parts of my recovery have gone very well, but I do still deal with many issues related to the injury almost two years later. My strength is nowhere near what it used to be, but fortunately my surgeon did a great job putting me back together and things have progressed very well in terms of appearance and symmetry. Below is a pic taken at the gym today, and below that one more pic showing some of the changes I've gone through since the surgery. Yikes, it's crazy to look back and see that atrophy on the left side in my post surgery pics! Thanks again for following along with my recovery and for all the well wishes and encouragement along the way! - Michael ![]() ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 114 | hey, EME looking at your diet, I noticed that you seem to be spliting your fast amino acid intake and your energy intake (casein aside). Your whey is never with you meals. The only protein is seems you take WITH energy is whole food and casein. is that an insulin control tactic? -d

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Hey DJ, I use Whey Protein both to control cortisol, ( as in first thing in the AM and sometimes immediately post workout ), and as convenience when I don't have time to eat a whole food meal. It's not that I have something against taking whey with carbs, it's just that I want a mix of protein sources whenever possible. I prefer to eat chicken, or fish, or beef when I can take longer to eat, and use the Whey when I don't have as much time to eat, or when I specifically want it in my system quickly. It's also important to note that the diet listed in the beginning was Phase 1 of my cutting diet. It's definitely much different now! Michael Michael Quote:
