Default What to do when you can't finish your workout?

This is the second time this has happened this week.

I got to the gym later than I wanted to this morning.

I did 5 sets of incline db press, 3 sets of incline flies, but then I was out of time because I have a big mid term so I had to leave.

What should I do when things like this happen? I wanted to do a lot more but I just didn't have the time... now I feel like I had a half assed workout...

?? Should I go back later at night?!?!? Should I up the frequency and do another chest workout this week? Should I just wait till next week? The 5 sets I did were heavy and I had a strength gain, but I couldn't push myself to my limit b/c there was no time....

If you got the main compound movement in your good to go. When I'm really pushed for time I just cut my rest times down close to nothing. Great way to get pumped like a mother.

based on your post it would be fine if you went back later at night for some more chest

I just thought I'd post this up.... seemed relevant. This is a direct copy/paste from someone's log on another site I'm on. Yes this man is a machine, but still... check it out. I think this guy would tell you it would be OK to go back to the gym at night

At present I'm holding around the 182 mark. I'd estimate my BF to be around 8%. Vascularity is there 24/7 now, rather than just when pumped. Abs are in... if I hit the 162-164 range I'm shooting for, I should be absolutely peeled. This is probably the best condition I've been in this far out from a show....15 weeks to go.
btw, his log is very inpsiring. Check it out for a good read.
