Default training dilema!!

so with a new year begining im gonna get back into the strength training,i have a problem tho,a have done a lot ov research into a routine, rippetoes or somthing similar but the thing is the only gym near me has no free weights!just crappy machines,as i would like to perform big compound movments this sux.i had left that gym bfore as i went to a relatives cos i had a bench, dumbells and barbells there.but i have no way ov getting up there now as i have no car now!i could bring some weights down to my home but i would have room 4 weights but not bench.(my home is tiny).so what should i do.join the gym and just use machines or just slog it out at home?

Perhaps you should consider where you will be able to get the most complete workouts. Another consideration would be any gym fees.

It doesn't really sound like either way you'll have available to you what is needed for a complete compound routine with free weights. Make the most with what's available.

i would bring the stuff that you can home and use it. Sup in floor press and extensions on the floor for bench/chest work and do the rest standing, aka high(er) rep squats by cleaning the weight up and putting it on your back, do deadlifts, overhead press of all sorts, plate raises, pushups w/ weights, situps with weight. etc... this is a good time to be creative!
