Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | Hey guys I have done a lot of maintaining my weight 175-178lbs (5'10) for the past couple years. Recently (Feb 08) I began trying to gain weight and slowly bulk up without gaining too much fat. well now (apr 08) I weigh 195 with 8.5% body fat (7 point w/ calipers) My question is i could be out of the gym for up to FOUR WEEKS with little to not activity. What are the best things to eat, continue creatine, regular protein shakes? I do not want to lose all the gains I have made in the past couple months! I have also never taken more than a week or TWO max off. Opinions or tips for an extended "rest" month lol?? Thanks guys and gals |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 54 | Take BCAA and HMB, both will help prevent muscle catabolism. Will the surgery limit movement of all body parts? Work whatever you can, even if you just do some isometric contractions.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 177 | Muscle memory is your friend, you'll put that muscle back on in no time, once you get back to training. I ruptured a tendon in my arm, and the only ways for it to heal was to either stop using it completly, or get surgery. The surgery actualy had a shorter recovery time, and would have gotten me back to lifting earlier, but I don't believe in surgery unless it is absolutly needed. Long story short, after a 6 month layoff, I gained back all the muscle I lost in less then a month. |
