don't do it for it's competitive advantage, but instead, as a way to increase an assortmant of other lifts (squat for one) by enhancing hip mobility and strenth. Not to mention it's kills ur glutes, hams and quads like any other form of pull.

i am not a fan of the sumo. just doesnt feel comfortable its not what im use too.

Sumo is not going to feel natural, you learn to lift sumo. And workout any flexibility issues to make it a little bit more comfortable.
