Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 116 | If ur diet was in check, then yes, a layoff of significant time may produce excellent strength gains. I know when I take a couple weeks off, my lifts tend to go up.

| Pro Stature | Yeah, at 16 you are still growing, your test levels are naturally through the roof and your body is naturally getting stronger and bigger on its own. So this is not surprising. Take advantage of it while you can. Eat well, lift as often as you can and get plenty of rest. You'll nautrally be big and strong.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 158 | sort of related but kind of unrelated... it's the old dudes at my gym who have the amazing strength. For some reason old guys are really strong. I think as you get older your brain naturally gets better at firing off neurons at muscles.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 58 | You guys crack me up! ![]() You might be right though. I went to a powerlifting meet a few months ago. There was this guy there who is 82 years old and he outlifted me on total (bench, deadlift and squat) by about 200 lbs. I figure I have about 22 years to catch him. When I do, I will break his world record for 80+ years and 180 lb class. ![]() Quote:
