Default Setting up a non-traditional periodization program

Alright I'm thinking about switching to a non-traditional periodization program to increase strength and size, although it is not for a sport. I read through the posts by powerman (nice posts and studies BTW) and the only real question I had was with regards to the split.

Would I keep a 3, 4, or 5 day split or should I change my split to accomodate the periodization program. Right now I'm on a 4 day split and I just wanted to figure out what type of volume and split works well.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You can apply periodization techniques to whatever split you want to use.

I even use DUP when I am on a 4 day per week dual factor protocol.
