| Amateur | Hello I am looking into sand bag training and would need help incorperating it into my weight liftings my sand bag traing won't start untill after i graduate high school thats in 4 months it will be like this mon:tri/bicept/abs/chest tues:sand bag/bjj wenday:back/legs/traps thursday:sand bag/bjj friday:light cardio sat:day off sun: day off this scheldue will be going around my college classes, but if yall can help me out with this split that would be cool the sand bag training would consist of, running stadiums with the sand bag, squats, ab exercises, and throwing the sandbag over a fence, hop over and throw it back over then hop over and repeat, and also burpees. and thats it for the sand bag. the sandbag will build my endurence, and stamina, and the weight lifting will help with my strenth and mass department. |

Xsquizet, Who is having you do this sandbag routine? Or is this something you have decided to do? I used to run the stadium bleaches in high school, and it would fry my legs for a couple of days. If you are going to do the sand bag in addition to the weights, you may not see much gains in the mass department due to overtraining. Course it depends on the weight of the bags and how many (I'm assuming they are 25lbs each). Also, if you are doing the sandbag routines Tue and Thurs, you probably won't even need cardio on Friday. I know I wouldn't, I'd be to damn tired! Not saying the bags are not a good idea, they should help with core strength. But I would expect to have to modify your routine once you get it going. Just my thoughts though.
