Default ROM


Rom is range of motion Right? so how fast am i suppose to do a rep like fast Slow or what does it all depend by?

Yes, ROM does stand for range of motion.

ROM doesn't have much to do with the speed of your reps, however.

There are many, many articles and info on the web regarding to rep speed. I would recommend reading up first and then trying several different protocols pertaining to repetition speeds on a revolving basis. In otherwords, don't always use the exact same speed protocols for every workout.

Basics are slow and controlled on the way down with an explosive, faster movement on the way up with the weight.

For rep speed think tempo. For example Charles Poloquin came up with a four digit method, example 4-1-2-1 = four seconds excentric, 1 second hold in strech, 2 second excentric and 1 second hold in contracted. Most sets are conducted in what is called Time Under Tension or TUT. The average hypertrophy sets should last from 18-40 seconds.

i usually just do what feels comfotable, conrtrolled ecentric "explosive" contraction.
