Recipes: 1 Rep Power: 50 | I thought I saw this on here once, but I did a bunch of searches and couldn't find anything. So here it is again for people who missed it. Here is powerlifter Dave Gulledge at 320 lbs. Dave decided to cut down. Here he is at 265... carb depleted... Here he is carb loaded. ![]() ![]() NOTE THE LOWER BACK... that's ridiculous. This is like my ideal physique lol. Kinda debunks the rumor that PLing isn't sufficient for good muscle development...

Recipes: 1 Rep Power: 50 | Here was his diet throughout all of this... 6:30am 3eggs, 2 egg whites 1.5 cups oats 3 fish oil caps 8:30 3scoops protein powder 1tbsp flax oil 1cup cottage cheese 11:30 3scoops protein powder 1tbsp flax oil 1:30 whole wheat pasta lean ground turkey 3:30 1cup oats 2scoops protein powder 5:00 ground turkey 7:30 salmon patty sandwich on whole wheat toast 1 chicken breast 9:30 3 scoops protein powder 1tbsp flax oil 1cup cottage cheese 3fish oil caps. I ran this through Fitday and I got these totals: 4445 calories 509g protein 256g carbs 147g fat PER DAY. And I guess every 4 weeks or so he would fast himself for 2 weeks and eat nothing but 4-5 protein shakes and a carb meal. AND HE LOST 60 POUNDS. How is that fucking possible?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 113 | yup. More than likely done with the help of AAS, but who really knows. Regardless, training with a quality plan, for a long period of time and eating a ton of food WILL do that. Thats all PLing is; good exercise selection, planned out training, and a ton of food.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 176 | I remember reading about him a couple years ago.... I am going to guess that he switched over to lifting for hypertrophy when he started to cut rather than for strength... |

Recipes: 1 Rep Power: 50 | ^That could be true. But what's funny is that even after the cut his bench went up 50 pounds. 700 @ 320 lbs to 750 @ 265 is amazing. What I'm really desperate to know is how he ate almost 4500 cals a day and lost 60 pounds. Wtf.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 60 | I believe I read in an interview somewhere with this Dave guy that he did use AAS. When you have really good genetics for mass building, you can pack on size with any lifting program whether it's pl'ing or hypertrophy, especially if you juice. If he gained strength, there's a decent chance he increased his AAS usage during the cut... not suprising if he's a powerlifter, as I'd imagine he'd do just about anything to not lose on his lifts. His cals aren't all that high considering his bodyweight and amount of muscle mass, 4500 is definitely below maintenance. Very impressive nonetheless; he could have definitely done very well in bb'ing competition.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 176 | He looks great, and has really good bodybuilding genetics... his obliques are almost non existant, which is a good thing, cause it really helps with the v taper.... I don't know if those numbers are accurate though.. if he was 265 carb depleted he could be 275+ carb loaded... Jay Cutler was 275 at last years O... He is big, but not even close to as big as Cutler, or even Martinez... I guess if he is pretty tall 6'3 or so he could weigh that much.. plus he is not in contest shape in the photos |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 60 | He has great bb'ing genetics. I'll never have a great taper because I have thick obliques. His lower back is phenomenal, if he was really contest shredded I bet he'd have a similar back to Samir Bannout, who attributes his incredible lower back development to his days as a powerlifter.

| SEEK & DESTROY | Yes, I remember reading an interview with him where he admitted he took something, though I can't remember what it was specifically
