Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | I bet the poll will be overwhelmingly negative. I'm sure people wish us well, but I doubt anyone actually believes that this will result in significant gains. But hey.. that's cool..... because you never REALLY know anything until you find out. And if it does work........ I bet we have a bunch more people lining up to give it a go! - EME Quote:

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Yeah, The new article in MM did the same thing. They listed a sample diet to follow for the training day, which actually is pretty good for this purpose.. but of course they also threw in dat dere Cell Tech and Nitro Tech in the menu too. However, the main program is the same as it's been for decades, so the MuscleTech products can be ignored. It will be a good idea to include lots of simple and complex carbs, protein, and plenty of fluid and electrolytes during the training day. I'm putting together the training diet plan for the day today. - EME Quote:

| Mushroom Cloud Laying.... | I did the add one inch to your chest routine that Muscle and Fitness had in their magazine that combined chest and back workouts together. I did it in Late december and it was worthless. I got a good pump for the 6 hours or so that I did it, but once it was over, I was just sore and lost almost all the strength I had. I couldn't lift for a week heavy, and I lost about 10% of my strength in chest exercises for the next month. It wasn't what I had planned at all.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | Basic outline of the nutrition plan for the day will be as follows: First, we're going to increase carb consumption for the three days leading up to the training day, and cut out all training on Thursday and Friday to ensure full glycogen stores. The day will start out with a high calorie, high protein, high carb meal... Probably something along the line of scrambled eggs, skillet potatoes, juice, toast. Every 1-2 hours we will consume a high glycemic index sports drink like Powerade or Gatorade providing glucose and sodium as well as other electrolytes. Meals every two hours will consist of alternating long grain rice and ground beef, with Whey Protein / Carb shakes. We will also supplement with BCAA's multiple times during the training day. Finally, at the end of the training day we will have a replenishment meal consisting of steak, pasta, and salad. Fluid consumption during the training day will be kept high. Carb, protein, and fluid consumption will also be kept higher than normal for the 2 days after the training day to aid in recovery and growth. - EME

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 9 | That all sounds easy enough. Drink: For the gatorade phase, I'll use powdered gatorade. I have a bunch of it, and it's not HFCS, which is something I simply will not consume. Food: For the carb load, that's fine. For the long grain rice & beef mix, I may use this pasta I make. I use whole wheat spaghetti, turkey breast meat, with some sauce. It works out to 45/45/10 all together, and it saves and heats well, and it's one of the few things I can eat 13x in a day. Training: I always take Thursdays off from training, and I can take Friday off in the name of science. I might do this at my Dad's gym - it's at his house, so I'd be able to hang out and use his equipment. I no longer have a set-up at MY house, and I really don't want to spend all day in the gym after I spend all WEEK in the gym. Supps: I may also add glutamine to the BCAAs. I have some BCAA caps (66 of them) left from an old purchase. I'll sucks down those en masse, plus the glutamine powder I have - I'll mix that with the gatorade. I also do creatine monohydrate these days (PCT from SD), and I'll continue that, but in smaller, more frequent doses. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 51 | ss01 mentioned earlier in the thread that he was considering it too. I don't know if he was going to do it this weekend though.. hopefully so. Zack, As for the diet, that all looks good. My diet was a modification from the one in the magazine too, but it kept to the spirit of it. Basically, a steady stream of calories, fluid, protein, and a combo of HI GI and Lower GI carbs throughout the day. I threw in the BCAA's myself, and I may also add some additional creatine in with the Gatorade. Robert and I are both already taking CEE, so that won't be anything new... just some more frequent doses to keep the muscles hydrated, and to keep the nutrients shuttling in. Yeah, we're going to be doing it in my living room. So we can kick back and watch football on the couch between sets. The article does stress the importance of doing almost nothing else all day, but train, eat, and relax. This is looking good man! - EME Quote:
