Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 160 | All summer long I have been going NUTS in the gym trying to look good for when school starts. I didn't get to where I want to be in terms of Bodyfat% but I've done a lot of leaning out. So for the past 3 months or longer i've been exercising 7 days a week with a very loose schedule. At first I was doing mon: legs tuesday back, hiit wed chest hiit thurs shoulders hiit fri arms hiit saturday depletion workout/full body (carb up / refeed day) sunday mic (medium intensity cardio... to try and get back into ketosis) But then I had a cheat meal, things got screwy, and like for example yesterday i did back and legs together, and today I did chest, and I have been doing 30 minutes on the stationary bike at lvl 7 resistance 6 days a week, sometimes substituting it for hiit. So since my lifting schedule has gotten screwy, I'm not sure when i last did what, and I have just been going in and hitting anything that feels like it needs to be hit. All of my workouts start with compound lifts, and my rep range is generally 5-8, or 8-10 depending on the lift (I can't set the dbs for shoulder press for the lower rep range...) Do you think my summer's progress would have been better if I lifted less? and now that school is about to start up again, do you think I will have a fat rebound from not lifting as often?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 160 | So no opinions? People seem to be really split on the issue of what overtraining really is. This summer I've come to the conclusion that there really is no 'over training' as long as you listen to your body, eat well, and rest well. Although I admit I am starting to wear a bit thin So today I'll take a random day off, then hit up a depletion/carb up tomorrow. It seems like I always see my best gains/progress by doing the opposite of what people/articles say to do ![]()

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 3 | I punish my self when I lift anymore. Don't go for reps anymore just weight. Try to get at least 4 - 6 reps but that's about it. I have to take a day off in between squats, deadlifts and biceps or I wouldn't be able to lift a weight the next day I went. I've tryed a few differant routines but lifting heavy, short, compound and to the point has really helped me and taking a rest and eating well in between is what I like to do. I can't imagine going 7 days a week. I did squats today and I feel like my legs feel like feathers LOL !

| Nublarsaurusrex | Screw overtraining.. its over used if the 7 day split worked, why the hell stop it you know? only you can tell if your overtraining and trust me if ur asking if you are your not. Also im asuming you did ur cardio bouts right PWO which i would not recomend for mainting muscle, but if your just trying to lose weight then go for it.
