Default Drastic training switch for testing...thoughts?

Currently I am on a split, and I really don't like the results. I am not gaining weight as much as I would like, and I have determined it is not because of my eating patterns. (I watch what I eat, and make sure to take in plenty of calories.)

So I am going back to the old school routine- all upper body one day, lower body the next. I am trying it out for a month to see what happens. Anyone think it's a good/bad idea?
