Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | First I would like to hello to everyone here. And now to point, I was looking around the internet a few days ago and found this site called www.questformuscle.com They have a program section with programs for men and women, ranging from beginner to advanced with different targets for every program. They all cost about 10-15 dollars and were anywhere from 6-10 weeks long. If you want to read their descriptions the exact address is: www.questformuscle.com/workoutprograms.html Any comments would be appriceated. Thanks |

| Soldier In Progress | I'm more of a person who goes with an "individualized" plan, not something made for someone else then marketed. Anyway, you've got a site full of knowledge here. What else do you need .

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 33 | i dont think their stuff is worth paying for....ive seen some of their work, and its not that impressive...you'd be better off finding a log of someones, and adapting that to fit you....or just developing your own.....just my 2cents.... |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | To Sholiz, I'm not sure what you mean by individualized, but they do provide the weights for squat, deadlift, and bench press. I just thought I would ask about them, you've got admit that after reading some of the reviews its hard not too. |

| Soldier In Progress | When I say individualized, they don't know anything about you other than you have money and they want it. A few things they say there though, seem farfetched. 15lbs in 7 weeks? Some things just don't add up, just might be me, but I know what works for me and that's what I will apply. I'm one who works better in a lower rep range, and they don't know that before I start a program and for $14.00 they won't ajust it to suit me. Just my swayed opinion.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | I'm not trying to defend them, I just wanted to see what you thought. I have no intention on trying any of those. I have my own program that I use. I'm sorry I didn't understand what you meant by individualized. And I agree with you on that. Alright, well, thank you. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | If you have to pay, its not worth it. Go to the training section and read the post by IronRapist w/ all of the different training styles. Find one you like and try it. The best advice i can say is stick with it. Dont change in 2 weeks b/c someone on a forum said they gained X lbs with program "A". Stay with it and do NOT CHANGE IT. Try the way it is printed, @ least 2x, then maybe adjust it somewhat, but very very very little. Option B would be to compile what you like to do in the weight room into an organized system and follow it. Thats the best way to personalize your lifting.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 33 | pick something, and do it for about 6 months straight, then change. but only if ABSOLUTELY NECCESSARY. in that six months you will see a change....it doesnt happen in 2 weeks.....stick with it, and dont over analyze....

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | Guys, Chill out, you act like I thought these programs were the holy grail or something, I just asked what you thought. I wasn't about to try any of them. But thank you for your responses. I'm going to check out some of those programs you told me about. By the way, I am a powerlifter, not a bodybuilder. I have no intention to stay on any one program for 6 months. I alternate every 10-15 weeks. I have done 5x5 and about 3 other of my own programs I designed myself before. My way has worked pretty well for me so far. I have a question though, I was reading through here a few hours ago and it seems that most of you don't like the bench press. Personally I love it. but that is just my opinion. If you don't perform it, why not, and what don't you like about it? Thanks Last edited by Jon789 : 04-06-2005 at 12:12 AM. |

![]() Some people dont like bench pressing because of the stress it puts to your shoulder joint, some dont like it because it wont give any damn results (like me) Its just a personal choice though. You do what you like and know works for you, not what some guy said over some forums..

| Soldier In Progress | I don't like bench press for the fact it puts you in a single fixed plane (like any exercise) but it puts undue stress on your pecs which in turn can (and may) cause a muscle tear. It's an unnatural plane of movement as far as I'm concerned, and there are just too many other exercises that could be substituted for it which would lead to better gains, IMO.
