Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Well I'm looking to start DFHT very soon (probably today), but I have some questions first.. (I'm getting info from here: http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow...y_Training.doc thanks powerman!) 1) What type of warmup is needed? 2) When doing 1RM, how do you prepare for the lift? Do you just do it like any other but just expect to get one rep instead of, say, 6? 3) Is "eccentrics at the few reps at the end of a set" just mean that you can swing/momentum/cheat a bit? 4) In Session D, when you max out on deadlifts do you also need to max out on trap shrugs the next workout, or not? 5) Says to stretch following each exercise session/after each bodypart in Upper Body Session A, should I just do DC stretches? 6) How important are the intense rest and recovery techniques? How is water consumption part of intense rest? 7) How on earth can you manage to do the workout in an hour? I have my own squat rack, bb, and adjustable db's in my basement, but it still takes a while to change the weight between each exercise. 8) Pendlay rows instead of Barbell rows OK? 9) Aren't upright rows a bit risky for the rotator cuff? Or is that just a myth? Thanks |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 200 | The answers to your questions are all really the same. Do what you feel is right for you. You don't need to follow that outline to the letter. Just follow the basics and change what you don't like. For example, I agree with you about the upright rows being bad for your shoulders, so I suggest you don't do them. You can substitute and mix and match around any exercises you want. Just try and stick to the schedule and the rep scheme. Things like the water and stretching are not critical to your results so do them only if you want to.
