| IronMass Donator | I was doing deadlifts today and I was having no problem pulling it from the floor for a good lock out. The problem I have is the let back down. Are you supposed to let it down slowly and super controlled, or does it really matter? The pull is fine, but letting it down almost hurts my back because i can't control it in the same way. Thoughts? |

| FDU Devils Weightlifter | not super controlled, but don't bust the floor. If it hurts to set it back down, just drop it if you can.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | putting the bar back down should not be difficult. use your hips for most of the work. if you have a platform or some pads (20x20 doubled up carpet pieces work well) you can drop the bar when you get to knee level but watch the shins if the bar come your way.you will gain more back strength in controlling the bar all the way down IMO. practice your form with a lighter wght til you get it dialed in. |

are you remembering to keep your back arched when you put it down? You should let it down pretty quickly though... | |
