Default Cuban Rotations

Anyone do these? I found this thread: http://www.ironmass.com/exercises/52...ighlight=cuban which had a slight mention for cuban presses.

Here is what I'm talking about in case anyone is confused: Strong Healthy Shoulders

I'm thinking of throwing these into the mix in April. If anyone else has done them or has opnions about them, any feedback is appreciated. If you decide to start doing them after reading this thread, report back with your experience.

I do them as part of my R/C exercises before all of my presses. I also do a set or two in between my heaviest sets of presses, depending on how my shoulders feel.

it is a fantastic exercise that many olympic lifters use to for shoulder strength. it works best if you start with only the bar, heavy wts will cause more harm than good. do this move at a safe speed and do 2-3 sets of 6-8 reps. dont do them before or during other exercises or you risk injury. do them after or on a seperate day

hmmm looks interesting. I'll give them a shot, my rc's could probably use some strengthening.

I tried them on Monday, they felt good.... I like them. I'm going to give them another shot tonight and I'm definitely going to keep it as a part of my training.

You wouldn't happen to have a link or perhaps an explanation of the reason? I like to know the reasons behind why I do things - it's hard for me to take statements at face value. Any input would be appreciated.

ah... just ok. i think there are better movements out there. you want to get the external and internal rotation.

Interesting. I have read his article titled "Cracking the Rotator Cuff Conundrum", however in that he prescribes barbell cubans. Do you have a link to the article where he changed his mind and said to use DBs? I would love to read it.

I think i might need to try these.... Anyone remember rocky presses? I use to do them all the time when I was young and dumb. Do a shoulder press behind your head then one in front and keep rotating. I think that is one of the many reasons why my shoulders are so bad off now... lol
