Default Cardio For Fat Loss On An Exercise Bike - How?

I just purchased an exercise bike and need to lose some fat. I say "some" because I don't need to do a full on cut, I just need to lose some fat round my middle & possibly reduce my bodyfat by a couple %.

At the moment I'm eating very clean so this along with the fact that I'm doing some cardio on an exercise bike should help me to lose some fat or at the least help prevent putting more fat on.

The only thing is I don't know what type of cardio to do on the bike. For example.

- How long?
- What intensity?
- How often?

Remember, I'm not doing a full on cut, I'm just trying to prevent putting on more fat and hopefully lose some along the way. So I assume that doing cardio 5-6 times a week for an hour at high intensity would be more suited to cutting than what I'm looking for.

I don't want to lose any muscle solely by doing the cardio which is what I'm afraid of at the moment.

HIIT, 20mins or so, 30-45 second intervals, look it up.

*ahem* don't mean to be a pain, but I heard the search button works really well.
