Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Never been that fussed with abs really, I train them every now and then can't say I'm consistant got more other important things to hit hard . Anyway, to my question. I'm not sure why this is but my sides of my torso go inwards and sort of go out on the hips - I've got noticable fat on the hips thats probably why it looks like that so much... As I don't really have strong obliques - would training them without weights so only bodyweight help strengthen them and perhaps make my lowish torso more of a rectangle and in line with my hips? Kind of hard to explain if you guys are lost I'll post a pic or two about what I mean, yeah? Cheers.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 184 | From what I know...working the obliques can thicken your waist. If you are looking to keep your waist small just work the front and the back of your core to keep it narrow. I'm not too sure what needs work on from your description though. Hard to tell w/o a pic. Looks like you probably have to lower bodyfat as well to get rid of the 'love handles'. I think this will help give your torso more of a straight or 'rectangle' shape that you are looking for. I believe your body will regain it's shape/even out once you lose some of the 'fluff' tho. IMO. ![]() ~D~ PS: I hope I made sense? It's too early for me. :slapen: I'm going back to bed!! LoL

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 184 | Yeah, just lower bodyfat and you'll even out. You have some nice lats there and a small waist so that's what makes it 'look' like your sides go in but, really it's just your hip area you need to burn the extra fat off. I know you can't spot reduce but, while you continue to lose weight (all fat of course ) you'll lose from around your hips as well. It's sometimes maddening slow but, it will go away. You don't seem like you need much more to lose either. I've seen lots of guys and girls with the same prob. but, after losing weight (bodyfat) they looked great and their bodies evened out. So keep at it. :winkthumb
