Anyway, has anyone else done it? What do you think of it? I'm just curious... I'm actually cacking my pants at the moment, since I've just entered this for real...not just following it, I've actually entered myself...man am I going to regret that lol ![]() The addy is this: www.bfl-uk.com - is that okay for me to post that here? Thanks peeps...I'll go back to lurking now... :crazy1:

Recipes: 2 Rep Power: 96 | Body For Life isn't the best program... Personally I would recommend Lee Hayward's 12-week program + squats n' milk. http://www.leehayward.com/workout_programs/index.htm http://www.leehayward.com/squats.htm |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 3 | Milk is one of the first things I added...I must drink about three pints a day, plus what I use to make my oatmeal up. ![]() I'm also adding squats and SLDL in there, they're my two favourite exercises and I can't go without them...I'll definitely have a look at that programme, though, thanks.

| Pro Stature | Agreed on the BFL not best option. Good for starters just to get them going, but your too experianced for that. I would sign up for the motivation and add other training and diet. Sully

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 3 | Thanks for that. I just kind of hit a complete blank on what to do next, so thought I'd give it a go...would it be okay if I posted the tweaks to diet and regime I'm making up here so the more experienced people can advise and give me a hand?

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 12 | IMO i think the body for life is a good program for beginners wanting to build a good foundation for their future training. I have the DVD, book, the entry booklet and such. i got the DVD for free, the book by Todd Philips was $10AU and the entry booklet and such was for free also. I'm not promoting it in anyway but the book is a good read, great movitation, and the DVD is alright. but as for the program, its nothing compared to what IM members do. most (i said most) IM members are training for mass and freakish strength. while the BFL program focuses on losing fat and such. so if your a beginner who is overweight, i suggesti give it a try, its only 12 weeks of your life and it can set you up for a good future. or if you are someone who is interested in the health-side and not freakish size, i suggest the BFL. HOWEVER, if your a bodybuilder and you are over freakish size and strength, i suggest you tear up Todd Philip's book with your bare hands (i bet there is a couple members who can lol) because the program will be a waste of 12 prescious bulking/powerlifting weeks. dats all my opnion

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 6 | Body For Life is not a bad program, even if you are advanced. It depends on your goals. True, it's more of a cutting routine (which God knows I need now), but you can gain strength too if you focus. However, it isn't for you if you are trying to get freaky big and/or using. I just recommitted to BFL on Jan. 2. I did it for 12 weeks back in 2000 and got good results... better than I thought possible. I just never stuck with it, and then of course I got sick with my thyroid and other problems. The diet is not magical... it's basically a 40/40/20 - 40/35/25 p/c/f ratio. The workouts are a pyramid with two high rep sets after the heaviest set of 6 reps. There's actually no reason the workout can't be changed to one you are comfortable with. I decided to use the workout as outlined because it is different, and I was getting bored with my other usual routines.
