Lightbulb Bars and dum,bells or machines?

Well, what do you think that works better bars and dumbells or machines?

Personally, I like bars. I like them because you do the most basic movements with the most weight possible. I like the feel of a bar in my hands. I like the size of the grip on an olypic bar. Bars=power lifts. Bars=Olypic lifts.

Bars>Dumbells>Machine

Freeweights > Machines ... but machines have their place in a workout...

As my dumbbell flies got heavier, I felt lyke I was cheating the movement... sorta doing a fly/press combo... as a result, I switched to Machine Flies and as long as I focus on my pecs thru the movement, combined with the restricted range of motion the machine provides... I can't cheat... Thus I target my pecs better...

Definitely Freeweights > Machines

I used predominantly free weights and only a couple of machines each workout, usually toward the end.

BOTH! You should be using both to keep your body guessing. I use predominately free weights but machines have their place in that the good ones are excellent at isolating the muscle you want to work and bring out.

I'm dumbells > bars > machines. Some machines, like Hammer Strength for chest, will come before barbells at times. I'd prefer a hammer-wide over a bench press anyday!

Freeweights are machines with greater activation of stabilizers, hypertrophy, and strength gain

Dumbells are even "freer" freeweights. So it would seem Dumbells would be the best, although one could argue barbells could be an optimum compromise. Im going with Dumbells as the best, but that wont stop me from using barbells- more convenient, easier spotting, abel to incrememnt by 2.5 lbs per limb.
