Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 49 | In high school/college i made my own power rack out of scrap metal and welding torch LOL. i cut it in 1/2 so it created braces you bolt together so it would fit through any door. I could do anything with it squats, deads, bench. I bough a bench at a yard sale w/ adjustable dbs & olypic w8ts. I used it for years. it rocked but training at home isnt the best way to go IMO. spotters lifting partners etc. plus i can make all the noise i want without parents yelling at me. my only point was the smyth is safe, its not some elite piece of equipment and i wouldnt use it at home.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 0 | I like working out at home. It is easier for me to go right to my basement and start working out any time I feel like it. I have a Bodysmith Power Tower, Total Gym, Frank Zane Leg Blaster, rowing machine, ab wheel, curl bar, straight bar, tricep bar, trap bar and a host of weights. I have all my ground covered for a good hard workout. ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | Hey Achilles; I workout at home and enjoy the solitude with no distractions. I have a home gym set with 8 stations. In addition, I have two standard barbell sets, with an EZ bar, an Olympic barbell set, a 2 rack DB set and 3 benches, 1 standard and 2 adjustable, just as a matter of convenience. I also have a squat rack that doubles for squats and bench presses. In addition, I have a Dip combo machine for knee raises, leg raises and oblique bends, together with dip handles for chest and tri's. I think what I have is more than adequate for my needs. If need be, all that I would require is probably some additional plates. In the early A.M., I go down stairs put on some good music, got my prepared routine, water w/carbs, towel, chalk and I let myself go into a different world for about an hour. Working out at home has been just great for me. ![]() |
