Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | 1st Off I'd just like to say, I'm not disagreeing with any mods here as I appreciate all your advice, but I would like other people's opinions aswell. I currently lift 4 days per week and would like to do HIIT aswell... A couple of mods have told me that it would be ok to include the HIIT (for 15 mins) on my off days so that would mean I'd be training 7 days per week. I would be taking a pre and post workout shake before every training session (lifting & HIIT). Seeing as it's only for 15 minutes would this cause overtraining, due to working out 7 days per week or would this be ok? If not then I would really appreciate it if somebody could tell me when I could do the HIIT as I need to fit 3 sessions of it per week in. Thanks, Pump! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | No I dont think it's overtraining. I lift weights 5 days a week and run 3 days a week - I have been getting great results, even broke my bench record the other day. Arnold lifted sometimes 4 hours a day LOL who am I to tell him he doesnt know what he is doing. You just gotta see to what your body responds best to - NO HARM IN TRYING!

| Unpaid Trash Collector | It depends on the routine, the intensity, and the person. In most cases yes it would lead to OT in a very short period of time. With no rest there will be little to no growth... muscle is not actually made in the gym.. it is when we are at rest the muscle grow. PS .. There are no issues if/when disagreeing with a mod... I would not recommend smarting off though... ![]() |

I aggree with this, dan is a wise man after all , but just listen to your body, for exemple on my fifth or sixth day I usually have less energy, if this happens, then I take a day off, if it doesn't well I just keep going.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 199 | Some people are even able to lift weights 7 days a week, depending on if they use periodization or not and if their nutrition and sleep is right where it needs to be.
