Default Zack's BASIC CUTS Review

Designer Supplements: Basic Cuts

Got myself a little bottle of red pills here. Plan to start taking them asap.

Some basics.

My stats:
I'm 34, about 5' 11", 183.5 right now. Bodyfat is about 15% (up a little from the SD cycle).

I run (though not in a while), and play some baseball, and I have only ever trained for those sports. Speed and quickness, and some functional strength, but no need for size. I do BB programs now and then, but just for variety.

I don’t really give a crap about size - my programs are always more about strength.

Past cycles:
I'm in PCT from a 40-day SD cycle right now - today, 11/1/05 is Day 13 of PCT.

I did a 1-test/4ad transderm cycle. I also did a 1-AD/4-AD.... Other stuff, possibly.

My program for this cycle:
Coming into PCT, I'm maintaining a BB'ing style routine.

Day 1: Back/Bi
Day 2: Chest/Tri (light on tris)
Day 3: Hams/Calves
Day 4: Bis/Tris
Day 5: Quads/Delts

And I fit rest in wherevere I feel like it.

Almost always 3 exercises for big parts, 1 or 2 for bis and calves. Mainly compound stuff, though more iso work lately for bis and tris.

Reps are 5-15, usually between 8-12.

Cardio:
I haven't been doing a lick of cardio since I started SD, and none duing PCT either.

I have some questions about this, and I'll post them later.

Diet:
My diet is always pretty tight. Roughly 35/45/20 to 35/50/15. About 2800-3000 kcals/day.
* Carbs. Very little sugar – all my carbs are complex (except for fruit). Lots of brown rice, oats, bread – the standards.
* Protein is turkey breast, eggs, chicken, lean ground beef. Dairy. Tons of non-fat CC.
* Fats are from PB and egg yolks, mainly, and incidental fats from lean meat.

So hey - you DS guys -

I see the bottle says 2 caps, 2x/day. 1 of those servings will be 30-45 minutes pre-workout. When would the other ideal time be? Early AM?

Also, I'm on PCT from SD, currently taking:
Nolva (at 20mg ED now)
Saw Palmetto
DHEA
creatine (5g before & after wo)
CoQ10
Red Yeast Rice
Multi.

Is the Basic Cuts likely to be inhibited by any of that? I'm especially concerned with creatine, if any aspects of the Basic Cuts would act as a diuretic, which could negate the cell volumizing effects of the crea.

And then, depending on that, whether I should begin the BC farther into my PCT.

Cardio: I'm not doing any. I CAN do cardio, I don't mind, but I didn't want to start it until after my PCT so I can keep the SD gains. Any thoughts on this?

Thanks.

Use it however you like and evaluate it based on mood, stimulation, and appetite supression. The only item in it with diuretic nature is the caffeine. And if you'd prefer only take it once a day, pre-workout, that is fine. If you need extra stimulation later in the day, take it then. Sorry to be so vague, but we like to let our testers dictate "real world" settings.

I'll be starting any day now. Was just waiting for diet and regimen to smooth out.

In fact, today is as good a day as any. My SD PCT is not quite finished, but close enough.

"2 capsules, 2 times per day" - you guys mean 4 caps total, right?

Excellent - hope I can provide something helpful.

I had waited a bit to start due to PCT. I didn't want to stack the Basic Cuts with anything, other than a slightly tighter diet and moderate cardio. Otherwise, you never know what effects are from what.

I plan on cutting my calories minimally - cutting fat intake, but raising protein. And I've added some very basic cardio. I'll run a couple times a week, where "run" means regular running, run/walks, and some sprinting, whatever strikes me that day.

So it's a cutting regimen, plus a cutting suplpement. Just as most would use it, so we'll see.

Felt no effects from dose #1 (none of the "my heart is racing, my body temp feels like 150 degrees" stuff). So I roll on.

Don't expect the super stimulatory feel, that's not what BC is about.

Hadn't set out expecting anything specific, but some of the other logs on BC had commented on the "I feel hot" effect, and just wanted to mention that I didn't experience any of the same. The cayenne seems to psyche people into thinking they feel a jolt of spiciness in their blood.

Other than that, pretty routine. That, and I vacuumed the house in record time.

Day 4: 11/19

On day 4, now.

Took morning dose pretty early, then #2 before a 1:30 pm workout. I plan to take a 3rd dose later this evening, because I'll be up late tonight and I was up early this morning.

Feeling fine. No definite effects. I sometimes notice a slightly more fidgety mood, but that's so far only been on the morning doses, or if it's on an empty stomach.

I'll weigh in on Wednesday.

Day 12: 11/27

Weight: 181.5, so I'm technically up 2# from day 1. But I'm down a couple pounds since adding cardio back into my plan. So one the one hand.... but on the other....

Still taking 2 doses (4 pills) - one morning, one later.

I do morning fasted cardio now, a couple times per week, and I do some other kind of cardio a couple times. Total cardio, maybe 4-5 sessions, roughly 30-40 minutes. The morning sessions are a walk, roughly 3.5 mph. The non-morning sessions are interval sprints or elliptical, or something slightly more intense.

Can't say I "feel" any effects of the Basic Cuts.

Do I "see" effects? Have to say no, but it's truly too early to tell.

Well, I'm definitely beginning to sense little shifts in my perceived metabolic rate from this supplement. It's subtle, but it's there. ESPECIALLY when I don't take them near a meal. I get slightly amped up, ancy, and slightly jittery for 15-20 minutes, or until I begin to be more active.

But as far as amplifying my cut, I don't see much.

I'm thinking I'm going to kill it for now, stop taking Basic Cuts, but continue to cut with diet and cardio (mostly cardio). I'll begin taking the Basic Cuts again when my bf% is lower and I'm closer to the leanest I can get on my own.

That's what I'm thinking.

I get this as well. Have you gotten any muscle spasms or cramps from basic cuts?
