Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | A big thanks to Solarize and Althetic Edge N for giving me the opportunity to test the combo of SteelEdge & IntraXCell. I am very excited to see how these products will help me with my strength and muscle gains. Athletic Edge Nutrition Presents New and Improved SteelEdge ![]() What is SteelEdge? SteelEdge is a Full Spectrum Pre-Workout Formula specifically designed to target and support your body’s Pre-Workout physiological environment, priming it for intense, focused, energetic and result producing workouts. SteelEdge is scientifically formulated to target, support and optimize: • Exercise Intensity, Energy & Endurance. • Strength, Lean Muscle & Protein Synthesis. • Focus, Concentration and Drive. • Recovery, Electrolyte Balance and Anti-Oxidant Levels. • Better RESULTS. Athletic Edge Nutrition Presents IntraXCell ![]() Intracellular Carnosine/Glutathione Booster in convenient capsule form Athletic Edge Nutrition, The Nutrient Timing Specialists, is pleased to introduce IntraXCell. We have scientifically formulated IntraXCell with precise doses of four key ingredients that work synergistically to increase intramuscular Carnosine and Glutathione levels, which boosts strength, lean muscle mass and fights muscular fatigue at the cellular level. The Result: Explosive Strength and Endurance, forcing lean muscle gains, physique improvements and muscular GROWTH! IntraXCell is scientifically formulated to: • Boost Explosive Muscular Strength and Endurance, forcing lean muscle gains. • Delay Muscular Fatigue. • Increase Intracellular Carnosine Levels and Fight Metabolic Acidosis. • Improve Healthy Blood Flow to Working Muscles. • Naturally Boost Glutathione Levels. Boost Strength and Increase Lean Muscle Gains with IntraXCell! When you exercise or train at a high intensity, your muscles increase their production of hydrogen ions (H+) which lowers muscular pH, making them more acidic. This increase in musclular acidity (also called metabolic acidosis) directly interferes with muscular contraction, energy (ATP) production and increases fatigue, all factors that cause your performance to plummet. While muscle acidity has certainly proven to decrease strength and contribute to muscular fatigue, new research is now showing that exercise-induced intracellular free radical production is another source of muscular fatigue. The combination of muscular acidity and increased free radical production greatly diminishes your performance during exercise, stopping your workouts cold and interfering with lean muscle gains. Fortunately, Athletic Edge Nutrition has developed a tool you can use to combat intracellular acidity and free radical production, pushing your performance, physique and results to the next level. IntraXCell works to boosts strength, fight cellular fatigue and increase lean muscle gains in two ways: 1. Contains research supported Beta-Alanine, which effectively boosts intramuscular carnosine levels, which works to fight/buffer fatigue-causing Hydrogen Ions, allowing for extreme muscular strength, power and endurance. 2. Increases production of the power antioxidant glutathione with N-acetyl- cystine (NAC) and Alpha-Lipoic Acid. Glutathione is a power antioxidant in your muscle cells that can improve exercise performance by preventing damaging free radicals than can cause cellular fatigue. Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | First day testing the new products...I have also had 1 weeks break from training so I was double-y excited this morning. Today's Nutrition M1: whole eggs/egg whites, oats, 1/2 apple, fish oils PreWO: yoghurt, whey, honey, SteelEdge & IntraXcell **I also took MRM BCAA+G during my workout PWO: skim milk, whey, dex, banana M2: tuna, kidney beans, salad, olive oil M3: egg whites, rye essene bread, veggies, pb M4: chicken, brown rice, veggies, olive oil M5: cc, strawberries, fish oils Today's WO Excersizes done in no particular order - just posting maxes 1 x 20min walk to gym Leg Press 434# Weighted Incline Crunch 33# (increased reps) Cable Flye 44# each hand BB B/O Row 94# (decreased weight for good form) Plate Ball Crunch 19# (increased reps) Straight Arm PD 88# (increased reps) Bench Press 94# Single-Leg Leg Ext. 88# Heel Squats 55# 10min stretching Total Time: 1hr 45mins. Calories Burnt: 918 (50% fat burnt). HR Max: 164 (88%). HR Average: 131 (70%). Thoughts on Workout and Supplements As you can see from my HR, it was alevated for the whole workout...it stayed up there even in rest periods. I noticed this pretty much straight away (on my walk to the gym). I also noticed the caffeine/stimulants as I always get this weird feeling in my mouth (dry and sinuses become clear - I know caffeine does this - as I don't take caffeine throughout the day, I do notice it's effects quite a lot). The feeling wasn't jittery or speedy. As for the prickling feeling experienced with the IntraXCell, the only symptom I got was a very slight tingling feeling in my face. I did feel a lot warmer than normal too and I perspired more than normal. I didn't really notice any pumps, but when I put on my top after a shower, I found it hard to get over my biceps!! It was a good workout, especially since most of my lifts were right there at the same level before my break so no strength decreases after my week off. Additional 1 x 25min walk home Stretching **Weighed myself this morning, I have lost weight this week. I am down from 138.3lbs to 136.2lbs...so the food is going up today! -------------- DarkFalcon, I haven't competed before, so this is going to be a great journey! Thanks for your support! Proverbs, Cheers! |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | **Okay, about an hour after taking it, I am experiencing some very mild prickling...it's more apparent when having pressure on the skin (such as sitting down), it's not uncomfortable or anything though. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 5 | Today's Nutrition M1: whole eggs/egg whites, oats, 1/2 pear, fish oils PreWO: yoghurt, whey, honey **1 hour after PreWO meal: SteelEdge & IntraXCell - The SteelEdge mixed with water tastes like a orange effervescent drink. It was a little gritty but generally it went down very well. PWO: skim milk, whey, dex, banana M2: *Pancakes with maple syrup M3: chicken, sweet potato, veggies, olive oil M4: chicken, yoghurt, almonds M5: cc, berries, fish oils Today's WO 1 x 20min walk to gym Good Mornings 88# (then dropped for form) 83# Cable Hip Thrusters 165# Incline DB Bicep Curls 20# each hand Standing Calf Raises 106# (high reps - oh the burn!) Close Grip Bench Press 77# too tough today...went down to 72# with great form DB Shoulders Press 33# each hand (increased reps) Very happy with this today, excellent form! Incline DB Tricep Ext. 20# each hand Alt. DB Bicep Curls 27.5# each hand DB Raises in Scapular Plane 20# (increased weight - PB!) 1 x 10min high incline walk on tread 1 x 10min stretching Total time: 1hr 40mins. Calories Burnt: 836. HR Max: 171 (91%). HR Average: 128 (68%) Feelings about Workout and Supplements I was generally happy with WO. At first, I didn't feel that strong but the strength got better as the workout wore on. I had to decrease my CGBP and my GMs today, but that will get better, I would much rather lower weight and concentrate on form than do it with bad form. I had my SteelEdge and IntraXCell about 20mins before WO and I felt teh effects of the IntraXCell about 25-30mins after taking it...mostly in my face again, but also in my legs. Nothing that bad or uncomfortable. I also felt the pump in my arms, especially in the forearms, they were so tight after all that arm work. HR was also higher again today than normal. It reached 170 doing my DB Raises and my alt. DB Bicep Curls. Stayed a lot higher in rest periods too. |
