Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 49 | I'm on day 8 of a sponsored Animal Pump and Torrent log. I already have it posted on bb.com and the forvm but I'd like to post it up here as I'm a noob to this board and it's probably a better introduction than I could do in the "introduction" forum. I'll just copy and paste the first 6 days so there won't be any fancy colors until day 7... ![]() |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 49 | Taste Reviews Animal Pump: The pills were easy to swallow. No complaints there. Torrent: The flavor was pretty sweet, a bit too much for my preference. I used the called for 3 scoops and 20 oz of cold water. I think I may dilute it a bit more with ~10 oz more cold water. It mixed up great and the flavor reminded me of cherry flavored Airheads... The Workout: Chest/Shoulder/Tri Db Press 55x14 warm-up 75x10 PR 75x6 75x5 Incline Db Press 60x8 60x4 Incline Fly 35x10 35x12 35x10 Dips (bodyweight only) 11x 10x Db Shoulder Press 50x4 45x4 Db front raise 25x10 25x10 Lat Db Alternating Raise 25x10 25x10 Rope Pulldowns 60x10 65x10 70x6 70x5 Thoughts and Comments: I wasn't able to take the AP on an empty stomach today as I got back from Mother's Day dinner (PF Chang's) around 6 pm and the gym closed at 8 pm. I had one PR which felt good. However, my endurance was trash today and my shoulder press was pathetic. I attribute this to the previous weekend's poor eating/sleeping/drinking habits (college graduation, family in town, celebrating...). I'm looking forward to redeeming myself tomorrow. Evalutation: Strength: 7.5/10 Endurance: 6.5/10 Pump: 7/10 Overall: 7/10 |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 49 | Comment on taste: I mixed 30 oz of cold water (compared to the called for 20) with 3 scoops (one serving) of Torrent today PWO and the flavor was MUCH better imo. The Workout: Legs/Back/Bi Squats 135x12 (warm up) 225x10 225x8 225x5 Deadlifts 185x10* 185x10* 185x10* Lat Pulldown 135x15 165x12 180x7 PR 180x5 Seated Calf Raise 115x20 115x20 115x20 Lying T-Bar Row 90x10 90x10 90x8 Db Curls 35x6 35x7 35x6 35x5 * I went light with the deadlifts since I felt a little strain in my lower back after squats. Also, this is my first week doing them (in a long time) as the gym I was going to previously (Planet Gayness) didn't have BBs so I couldn't do them. Now that I'm lifting at the SRC again, I'm looking forward to being able to do squats and deads... Comments: Overall it was a pretty good workout. I had one PR, which is always a good thing (even though it was on a machine). As mentioned previously, I had a little "strain" in my lower back which kept my deadlifts light. I'll keep them light for the next week or two to build up strength in my lower back before loading up too much weight. I was able to take the AP on an empty stomach and I definitely felt it much more today. My endurance was back and I felt strong through most of the lifts. I also had a decent pump going after a few sets. Evalutation: Strength: 8.5/10 Endurance: 8/10 Pump: 8.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10 |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 49 | Today's workout got all fukced up. It started off incredible. I busted out 2 PRs on db bench press but afterwards, on my first set of db incline, I had a serious discomfort in my left shoulder. At this point I as irate. I was pumped with my PRs and looking forward to setting a couple more for the day. But, my shoulder hurt significantly so I couldn't proceed as expected. I wanted to hurl a 45 at the mirrors. FUKC!!! So after I quit crying I decided to man up and work lower weights for higher reps. My left shoulder wasn't having inclines so I tried crossovers. That went well for 2 sets but it began to hurt again so I moved on... It should also be noted that I went to Planet Fitness today, and not the SRC so the machine weights are different. Anyway, here is the workout: Chest/Shoulders/Triceps/Abs Db bench press 55x12 (warm up) 75x11 PR 80x6 PR 80x6 Db incline press 60x9 (insert intense left shoulder "discomfort" here) Cable crossovers 80x19 70x10 Rope push downs 70x25 70x25 70x18 70x20 Standing pulley across body(don't know name) 20x10 20x12 20x12 20x10 Upright cable row 80x16 70x20 70x15 Rope push downs Again!! 70x25 70x20 70x13 Stiff leg raise 20x 20x Dips 9x Ball crunch 20x 20x Stiff leg raise 15x 15x 15x 12x Comments: Besides the pain in my left shoulder, the workout ended up pretty well. I got an INSANE pump in my triceps after the high rep rope pulldowns (hence doing them twice). I tried to work around the pain and it ended up pretty well. I've been feeling strong lately, probably as a result of my new split, improved diet of late, and the addition of this new stack (although the latter is probably mostly mental as I just started it). Either way, I'm feeling good. Evaluation: Strength: 8.5/10 Endurance: 9/10 Pump: 9.5/10 Overall: 9/10 *I'm planning on going light/high rep on the next two chest/tri/shoulder days in order to let my rotator cuff (which I believe is the problem) heal up before I do any long term damage to it. I've looking into things I can do to speed recovery and prevent injury but I'd appreciate any suggestions that you may have. |

I concentrated on perfect form on squats and DLs so although the weight didn't increase much, I worked the wheels harder on those two exercises compared to last week. I felt strong and had decent endurance. I was really feeling the workout with some of my favorite lifts: pull-ups, squats, dls, and lunges. Also, my focus was right on throughout the workout. I had the "I'll do just one more exercise before I leave" compared to the "I'll skip that last set and go home" mentality. Evaluation Strength: 9/10 Endurance: 8.5/10 Pump: 8.5/10 Overall: 9/10 |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 49 | Not a whole lot to report today. My hams are pretty sore from the workout yesterday and my back is a little tender. I'm going to hit up the gym for some cardio tomorrow. |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 49 | ![]() Day 8: Chest/Shoulders/Triceps/Abs (light day) Sunday, May 20 2007 The day of 663 reps... ![]() As I mentioned on my previous chest/shoulder/tri day my left shoulder was bothering me so I decided to do light weight/high rep workouts for the next 2+ chest/tri/shoulder days. I haven't done a light weight/high rep day in A LONG time so I aimed for weight that I could do 15-20 reps with and it worked out well. I didn't have anything to do today so I ended up doing a few more sets than usual... It should also be noted that I worked out at Planet Fitness and not the usual (ASU's SRC) since I knew I was going light today and PF is just so damn close to my house. Therefore, the machine weights are different. For future reference, you can assume that I lifted at the SRC unless noted. Chest/Shoulders/Triceps/Abs: Rotator Cuff Cable Warm-up 10x20 10x18 Db Bench Press 55x20 55x15 55x14 55x12 Ball Crunch 20x 20x Incline Db Press 45x16 45x15 45x14 Pec Dec Fly 85x20 85x20 85x15 Straight Leg Lifts 20x 20x Db Lat Raise 15x20 15x12 15x20 Db Front Raise 15x20 15x20 Upright Cable Row 70x20 70x20 70x20 Tricep Pushdown 70x35 90x20 90x20 Stiff Leg Raise 20x 20x Dips 10x 9x Ball Crunch 20x 20x Rope Pushdowns 70x20 70x20 70x18 Comments: I wasn't very happy going to the gym today knowing I'd be doing low weight/high reps. In addition to that, my iPod died when I was into my 3rd set. However, I soon got an insane pump going and my attitude changed. I was focused and loving every set in no time. Sure, it wasn't as much fun as busting out new PRs, but I was having a great time and didn't want to leave the gym. I didn't feel very strong today but my endurance was $ after the first few sets. Also, I'm going to add "Focus" to my daily evaluations. Evaluation Strength: 7.5/10 Endurance: 9.5/10 Pump: 9.5/10 Focus: 9.5/10 Overall: 9/10 |

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 32 | Wow.. That's seriously a lot of reps... but at the same tyme, I thynk we all perfectly understand having that pump and feeling strong... so when u say - "I'm gonna leave after thys set.." .. you start thynkin'... Hmm... I haven't used thys machine or done thys exercise in a whyle.. what else can I do.. hahaha... Great log.. but I was wondering if 15 days is long enuff to truly evaluate a product... also 52 grams of carbs.. with 26 grams from simple sugars seem lyke a lot... even in a post workout shake... I guess you can't use thys pre-contest huh?? ... Just some observations, I'm not knocking the product... Be sure to let us know what kynda gains u've made.. Peace..~G

![]() The log will be more than 3 weeks in total, as the the limiting factor is the Torrent which has 15 servings and is used on lifting days only. Since I lift 4x a week, it should run almost 4 weeks. That still isn't a great deal of time but hopefully I'll be able to draw some conclusions about the stack in that time. Regarding the carbs, it's more than I'm used to taking PWO but ~13 g or so is WMS, which I've heard nothing but great things about. I know a lot of people that take ~50g of dextrose PWO so I'm not too worried about it. I'll be monitoring my bf% for a potential increase.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 49 | As I mentioned in the original post, my plan (which I had been adhering to) was to take Green Mag on OFF days. However, as this is a sponsored log I think that is/was a mistake. I'll be taking AP in the AM on OFF days from now on. Thus far I've only had 3 OFF days so it won't make much of a difference in the long run (still have ~17 days left).
