Default pt's Anabolic Xtreme - Herbal Hypertropic log / review

Intro:
The purpose of this log is to be a 246lb lab rat for Anabolic Xtreme, providing real-time feedback on the beta version of their upcoming "Herbal Hypertrophic" product. After some pretty steady progress in the past year (225lb to 250lb)... I've been at a frustrating plateau (for lack of a better word) for a couple months now. My short term goal is to hit 260lb @ 12% with a long term goal of around 260lb @ 8%
About me / stats:

Age: 28
Sex: Male
Height: 6ft
Weight: 246
Bodytype: Ecto

Progress Photos:
http://technologyorgasm.com/upload/130-248.jpg

More Details in my journal here:
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=656557
"Before" measurements:

Neck: 16.5
Chest: 46
Bi unflexed: 17
Bi flexed: 17.75
Forearms: 13.75
Waist: 35.5
Quads: 26.5
Calves: 17.5
1 Rep Max (1RM):
Bench: 305
Deadlift: 365
Squat: 335
Prohormone/Steroid use:
None...... yet. I did a few clean cycles of 6-OXO, which overwhelmingly is NOT considered a PH/PS/Steroid. The cycles were cut short due to unpleasant side effects around week 2-3.
Training experience:
In the last 4 years I went from a out-of-shape 175lbs to a leaner 250lbs... holding steady at around 244lb to 246lb, and struggling with strength and appetite...

I've tried 5x5 training and liked it
I've tried MAX-OT and liked it
I've attempted Conjugated Periodization and didn't enjoy it

I made a HUGE mistake last year when I did a cutting phase from 225lbs to 205lbs, but I have since bulked back up, and broke through a 220-225lb plateau.
Training Schedule/Protocol:
5 days a week, with a 4 x 8-12 rep range. Workouts usually last around 1.5 hours.

Sun: Legs
Mon: Off
Tue: Chest + Back
Wed: Legs
Thu: Off
Fri: Chest + Delts
Sat: Back

Note: This is simply a "basic" outline that I follow. I do arms whenever I feel like it, and I usually do delts on chest day... BUT I dedicate around 1 day per month to just delts. As you can see I'm basically doing upper / lower, with the exception of Fri / Sat. I try to do whatever is necessary to maintain intensity (even with the 8-12 rep range), which is why my workouts do vary sometimes. I very rarely 1RM anymore, mainly due to a past shoulder / neck injury... I flipped a 4-Wheeler in mexico.
Cardio Schedule/Protocol:
Currently 3 days a week, moderate intensity 30-60mins unless otherwise noted.

Note: Some may argue "why do cardio at all if you are bulking and having a hard time consuming enough calories".

What I have noticed is that cardio actually helps to stimulate my appetite and give me (overall) more energy. I have experimented and found that for ME, doing some form of cardio (even when bulking) is beneficial for lean mass. So the positives seem to outweigh the negatives (for me).
Current supplements:
Anabolic Xtreme - "Herbal Hypertropic" 3 X daily
Multivitamin
Controlled Labs - Green Bulge preworkout
Creapure / CEE postworkout
MRM BCAA pre / during workout
Black Star Labs - Whey Protein Concentrate
Optimum Nutrition - Whey Protein
Optimum Nutrition - Fishoil
"Budget" Diet / Macros:

Daily Constants (majority of my daily calories, making my daily totals more consistent):

Day 1: Leg Day / Cardio
Cals: 6000

Gym:Leg day varies depending on my recovery and how I feel. I often start off with:

Legpress: 4 x 12 x 700
Calves: 4 x 12 x 400 - Pause / Hold @ top)
BB Squats: 4 x 8 x 225

I was feeling good so, I did

DB Lunges: 4 x 12
Seated Leg Curl: 4 x 12
Seated Leg Extensions: 4 x 12

Dosing:

3 pills.. about 4 hours apart

Cardio:

Jumprope, thigh trainer, bands with a client

Notes / Random thoughts:

Nothing worth noting... it was $ .50 taco night, so you know I tore up some chicken tacos... easily hitting a estimated 6000 cals (this is rare.. usually I have to forcefeed).

Day 3: Off Day
Cals: 5800

Dosing:

3 pills.. about 5 hours apart

Cardio:

Sprints

Notes / Random thoughts:

As you can see, this was a extra "Off" day. This was unplanned and frustrating. I managed to do Bands, Gripwork, Sprints, and Pushups. I use the Reebok Level 3 Resistance Bands:

The way that I use them, they do very little for strength, but they are great for active recovery IMO / IME.

I use some very typical grippers for gripwork, and I usually do gripwork @ work:

I probably average around 40g (according to fitday) and my doc says I'm (physically) VERY healthy. Maybe the amount of oats that I eat helps to balance things out. Regardless, I definately don't focus on fat / sat fat content, I focus on my daily Protein and Healthy Carb intake.

Day 4: Back / Delts / Traps
Cals: 5500
Weight: 247.5

Gym:
Didn't have my workout log with me, but I did hit my rear delts pretty hard (much needed)... traps felt great.. rows.. not so good. My lats suck, and nothing worth noting for wide grip pullups / lat pulldowns.

Dosing:

3 pills.. about 5 hours apart

Cardio:

None

Notes / Random thoughts:

As you can see, I didn't hit my target calorie intake on day 4, which makes it even more interesting that I was up a lb and intensity was also up noticably. I felt the "urge" to lift... definately motivated and almost pissed off. This could be coincidence, placebo, or due to the herbal or the extra off day.

As far as appearances, I noticed that my tri's look more cut than usual.

Day 5: Chest / Arms / Lats
Cals: 5800
Weight: 249 (+3)

Gym:
Incredible... today was simply "electric" (for lack of a better word). A few more workouts like this and I will preorder this stuff (depending on price of course). I hope it wasn't a fluke, and there is no variable that would explain it. I felt the muscle hardness (similar to DS Activate) all day, but then I got to the gym and I experienced a mind muscle connection that I haven't felt for a long time.

I'm in such a zone right now that I don't even remember my workout order. I don't want to overhype anything, but I've simply never felt this type of isolation / MMC in my lats... and we all know my lats need serious help. And it wasn't just my lats, it's just that it was the most unusual.

Dosing:

3 pills.. about 4 hours apart.. might have taken a extra pill.. not 100% sure ? ? (Sorry...I worked 2 x 12 hour shifts this weekend.. tired as hell)

Cardio:

None

Notes / Random thoughts:

Libido - Might be up slightly
Shrinkage - None
Appetite - Might be up slightly... nothing crazy
Thirst - Definately Up

Those of you who only care about PR's and 1RM... nothing for you at this time... but those of you who care about size, workout intensity, muscle hardness, muscle fullness... stand by... if I can think of anything else.. I'll edit this..

Another great workout. Definately focused, and I'm basically happy to be (easily) hovering around 250lb. Nothing dramatic to note, however.

Libido still up

Pain in my left side (neck / shoulder) this is a injury that has bothered me on and off for a couple years and it's the reason that I rarely 1RM... I'm going to the doc on monday if no improvement. I have a VERY high pain tolerance, so this is bad news for me... I could barely stand up straight today.

If it's in your shoulder, wouldn't you bench less?

The bad news is that when discussing my MRI results before, my doc somehow failed to mention that I have some degeration of the C4 thru C6 vertebrae which is causing the neck pain that radiates all the way down past my shoulder blade.

The good news is:

1) The localized problem and lack of other issues indicates that this was due to neck trauma (Biking Accident, 4-Wheeler accident, and hit a deer) and NOT due to anything bodybuilding related ! ! .

2) Now that I know what the **** it is, I'm not (as) worried about MS, Muscular Dystrophy etc.. etc..

3) I should be able to hit the gym as often as I want. The real problem will be ongoing sleep (pain) issues.

4) I'll be supplementing with NOW Foods GCM:

(Glucosamine & Chondroitin Plus MSM)
