I had cottonmouth a few times, so I drank tons of water and felt fine. ![]() I felt alert all day today. My eyes felt like they were wider open all day today until around 4pm.... Mid afternoon I felt a little tired, but nothing compared to yesterday. I was PLEASED about this for sure!! Yesterday I was practically nodding off I was so exhausted...today I was simply tired like I always am that time of day. Between 4 and 6 pm is my slow time. I went to the restroom quite often today. Mostly urinating, but 4 trips for BMs...TMI I know, but I know this is relevant because I normally take care of things ONCE in the mornings and not again until the next morning. Today was unusually busy for me in that respect.... ![]() I would also like to say that this afternoon I layed down in bed to watch TV and I felt that same vibrating feeling I had last night....HOWEVER....I realized after a few minutes that it was actually the fan sitting next to the bed barely touching the bed frame and causing it to vibrate...LMAO...so perhaps we can strike last nights "treamors" and see what happens tonight now that I have moved the fan...hahaha....I'm a little embarrassed that I didnt realize this last night, but it was late...at least I know now. hahahahhaa Have a great night! | Pink Members | Thoughts: My ankles are swollen....I am most definitely bloated! I also have a mild ache in my left side... I did a little research in my journal and realized that I am in the Pre Ovulation stage of my menstrual cycle .... sorry guys...hhaa...go ahead and stop reading now if you dont want to know about how a womans body works...lol ... Since this log is all about how my body reacts to Red Acid and everything that happens during this 30 day testing process, I feel it is my duty to at least explain a little bit about what my body is actually doing at this time...I am currently on Day 14 of my cycle... Pre-Ovulation (Day 2 -14) The menstrual bleeding usually lasts a few days. From Day 2 on, the body is already starting to prepare itself for the next cycle. Under the influence of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and LH (Luteinizing Hormone) from the pituitary gland, the ovarian follicle starts to manufacture and secrete estrogen. Estrogen causes the uterine lining to grow. About 15 to 20 eggs start to mature in each ovary during this period. Each egg is encased and protected in its own follicle. The follicles also produce estrogen, the hormone necessary for ovulation to eventually occur. The level of estrogen slowly rises during this period as the uterus lining thickens and starts its preparation to receive the egg if ovulation occurs. A race progresses for one follicle to become the largest. Eventually, ovulation occurs when one ovary releases an egg from the most dominant follicle... Obviously the rise in estrogen level is causing me to retain water...not the Red Acid ... stay tuned for more exciting menstrual cycle news tomorrow...bwhahahahaa.....ewwww...ok....ok.... well anyway... this is what my body is going through... ![]() bye! hahaha |

This is very very kewl in my book...I dont EVER sleep through the entire night, but for the last 2 days I have slept all the way through the night and woken up feeling refreshed and hungry! These effects have to be from the Red Acid... I would also like to say I did not "vibrate" last night...LMAO...it must have been that fan making me THINK I was vibrating the first night...how embarrassing...hahahhaa oh well, at least it's all cleared up now.... | Pink Members | Today's Weight Training: Quad dominant w/ biceps: Back squats: 5x8@120lbs Step ups: 5x8@BW (bench=1.5 inches above knee) SLDL: 4x12@84lbs hammie accessory BB curls: 5x8@54lbs Drag curls: 1x8@40lbs, 4x8@29lbs Hammer curls: 5x8@20lbs I consumed 3 Red Acid capsules at 3:30pm...25 minutes prior to workout I started with back squats as always on Quad dominant day...I felt really unfocused at the beginning of the workout...but once I got into it, I got great pumps and really felt great! I decided to switch things up a little and do some step ups for my other quad dominant exercise. I used the weight bench to step up on...it's about 1.5 inches above my knee, so I really got a great burn on these babies. I only used bodyweight today, and that was enough.....but one of these days I will be able to do them with dbs or bb I am sure. SLDL were the hammie accessory exercise today. I purposely used a lighter weight today than last week and really concentrated on keeping that bar close to my legs and my ass out....GREAT BURN! bb curls followed the SLDL...I used 54lbs on these last week but was only able to get 3 sets of 8...today I went all the way with 5 sets of 8 (although I'll admit the last 2 reps I kinda cheated a little by swaying my body....lol) after the bb curls , I moved into drag curls . The 40lbs I started with was too heavy IMO. I managed to get out the 8 reps in the first set, but decided to lower to 29lbs for the last 4 sets of 8. This weight felt much better, maybe even a little too light, but I got a great burn while doing them, so they must have done me some good....kewl... hammer curls were last...for some reason today these were a lot more difficult than last week. Maybe I just totally killed my biceps with the other 2 exercises so it seemed like they were harder than last week. who knows....lol Good workout! I "splurged" a little bit today and allowed myself to have 4 small pieces of sugarfree hard candy...it only added up to 40 calories and 12g carbs so I was very pleased...LOL Today I did not visit the restroom as much as I have been since starting Red Acid ... (at least not until I drank that diet coke....after THAT I had to visit it BIGTIME...yuck....remind me to stay away from diet coke from now on...) I also did not get tired at 4pm like I have been. I believe this is because I took my second dose of Red Acid at 3:30pm today, instead of at 1:30-2:30pm like I have been. I DID get very tired at about 7pm tonight , but dealt with it and cooked dinner...LOL... I have not experienced any jittery feelings while on Red Acid ...so far only a mild alertness about 15-20 minutes after taking a dose that lasts about 3 to 5 hours. Once it wears off I get extremely tired. I am also VERY thirsty all day, and find myself with cottonmouth often.... I have been making a point to drink tons of water though, and this does the trick. I have been bloated all day today in my ankles...I am on Day 15 of my cycle, so after today my body should start to regulate itself again and not retain so much water. Verticle Push/Pull: back, shoulders, calves assisted pullups w/ slow negatives: 6x4@BW alternating between pronated and suppinated grip towel pulls: 5x8@75lbs db pullover: 3x8@45lbs, 2x8@40lbs standing db press: 3x8@30lbs, 1x7@30lbs, 1x8@25lbs upright rows : 5x8@20lbs side laterals: 2x8@10lbs, 3x8@7.5lbs seated calf raises: 4x20@100lbs The pullups are a total pain in my butt...I hate them...theyre super hard and really take everything I have to make it through all 6 sets...UGH! Hopefully if I keep on doing these I will get better and better and eventually they wont hurt so bad....??? hahahha... towel pulls were next....I do these on the weight bench with a towel wrapped around the leg extention thingy...I pull back and HOLD for a sec and then lower.....wow what a burn I get from these! I LOVE THEM! db pullover was next....I started with the 45lb db today and made it through 3 sets before I had to lower the weight to 40lbs....YAY! Improvement! standing db press followed db pullover...I hate these dayum things...my shoulders are prone to injury, so I have to be very careful when doing any kind of shoulder exercises....with these I have to really concentrate on keeping perfect form or I risk hurting myself...one little inch off and I can really put a hurtin on myself. I did really well getting in 3 sets of 8 today....the 4th set I made to 7 and failed. I lowered the weight to 25lbs and pumped out the last 8 no problem. upright rows were next. I used 20lb dbs for these and it was perfect. I was very challenged the 4th and 5th sets on the 6th, 7th and 8th reps. Last for shoulders were side laterals . I started with 10lbs each db, but after 2 sets of 8 I had to lower to 7.5lbs. After that they were pretty easy until the last 2 or 3 reps on the last 2 sets. BURN BABY! hehhehe Last in the workout I threw in seated calf raises. I did 4 sets of 20 with 100lbs today. I got a helluva burn each set by the 15th rep...those last 5 liked to kill me everytime! YAY! Overall, it was a GREAT workout! Intensity was high, concentration was high, pumps and burn were high....SUCCESS!! Menu for Day 4: consumed 3 Red Acid capsules at 7:50am...approximately 50 minutes before meal one meal one: can tuna + 1 Tbs mayo + 2 fish oil + 1 multivitamin meal two: 6 oz. lean beef steak + 1.5 c. broccoli + 1 slice Kraft american cheese + 1 jalepeno + 2 fish oil consumed 3 Red Acid capsules at 1:30pm...approximately 30 minutes before workout meal three: POST WO Whey protein shake meal four: 3 oz. lean beef steak + 1 oz almonds meal five: 8 oz. chicken breast + 1 can green beans + 1 slice Kraft american cheese + 2 fish oil 1 gallon water + Macros for Day 4: Total: 1749 Fat: 76 683 40% Sat: 23 205 12% Poly: 5 41 2% Mono: 13 117 7% Carbs: 37 102 6% Fiber: 12 0 0% Protein: 227 908 54% Alcohol: 0 0 0% Thoughts: It was a pretty decent day! I felt energetic and focused until about noon, when I totally lost focus on everything I was doing and sat staring at the computer for about an hour....lol...energy picked back up after I took my second dose of Red Acid but only for about 3 hours. By 5pm I was VERY tired....draggin ass bigtime...so I went to lay down until hubby got home. This didnt really help, so I took a bath....this helped a little bit, but I was still really tired and energy was ZERO. I convinced hubby to let us order out for him and the kid's dinner and I had leftover chicken breast. I felt better after eating, but am still really tired so I will hit the sack in a few minutes. I slept great last night though....only woke up ONCE to pee...yay! Appetite is GONE....where did it go?LOL... I dont even THINK about food for HOURS every day... Water retention is down a little from the way it was yesterday. I am moving into Day 17 of my cycle so things are evening out.... Luteal Phase (Day 15-30) The luteal phase is the period of time (usually 11-14 days) following ovulation. In simple terms, it is the last 2 weeks of the menstrual cycle. The egg can be fertilized within 24 hours of release, while it is still in the fallopian tubes. If the egg is fertilized, the pituitary gland produces hCG which causes the increased production of progesterone. The progesterone level reaches its peak on day 19-22, after which the level starts to fall if no fertilization took place. The progesterone in turn causes the basal body temperature to remain high throughout the luteal phase and after the 14th day. High progesterone levels are also responsible for "morning sickness" and other symptoms of pregnancy. If the egg is not fertilized within 24 hours, the corpus luteum regresses and slows its progesterone production. After reaching peak production on day 19-22, the progesterone level starts its decline. Without progesterone's support of the rich uterine lining, menstruation begins as the slough begins and the uterus clears itself and prepares once again for the next cycle. | Pink Members | I slept great last night! If there's ONE noticeable thing about this Red Acid so far, its that it lets me sleep fantastic at night! I only woke up once last night to pee...usually I am up a good 3 to 4 times nightly. This morning I woke up nice and late...(8:30am...hahahahah)...took my dose...waited about 45 minutes....downed a whey protein shake....waited about 30 more minutes...and then got outside and did my HIIT for today. I have to tell ya....I was EXTREMELY focused today during my HIIT....MUCH MORE SO than I have been with my lifting on Red Acid to this point. I havent felt this focused in a LONG time! It felt AWESOME! I was able to really push myself hard EVERYTIME I did the running part... and on the final lap (cycle 5), I ran full out balls to the wall for 35 seconds! WOW! heheheee...I thought I might hurl after that, but it was worth it...the exhilaration buzz I got about 10 seconds later was fabulous and I am still riding it at this very moment! Once I got into the house I downed another whey protein shake and now I am sitting here feeling all warm and wonderful inside...hehehe whohohooooooooo! KICK ASS WORKOUT! |

Although my calories are pretty low, I felt fabulous all day today...got in a great workout...did a bunch of things I have been needing to do around this house...and DID NOT get drop dead tired at around 4-6pm like I usually do. I took my second dose of Red Acid at 5pm, so this explains why I did not get tired like I have been the first few days on Red Acid . I am only now exhibiting signs of fatigue, and its 9:30pm. Appetite is absolutely GONE...it was extremely difficult to force myself to eat for some reason today...lol....kewllllllSo far the only side effects of Red Acid that I can see are the cotton mouth ( easily remedied by drinking more water) and the drop in energyI have been getting around 4-6pm ( easily remedied by taking my afternoon dose later in the day. (but then I would not be able to workout in the afternoons like I like to do, so that wont work)) So far the positives of Red Acid that I have experienced are a mild, yet effective alertness (lasting 3-6 hours per dose), great mental focus during workout, ability to sleep throughout the night without waking often , complete appetite suppression lasting the entire day . | Pink Members | whohoooo ya'll it's Day 6! I had another great nights sleep last night! ...slept like a ROCK except for waking around 2am (my new waking hour) and then again this morning at 8am. I decided to get back in bed this morning at 8am and take advantage of the new King sized bed we got yesterday ( ok..well, its not BRAND new, hahaha...but its new to us!! My best friend got a water bed so we got her regular king sized bed! totally kewl! hehe), so I fell asleep again until 10am and woke feeling absolutely ready to kick ass today! YAY! I already consumed 3 Red Acid capsules at 10:30am...in a few minutes I will drink a whey protein shake and take my multivitamin. I MUST get to the store today for fish oil... I will do a HIIT in about 45 minutes! I cant wait to see if I have the same energy on it that I had yesterday!!! I will report back after the workout. Have a fabulous day!! |

| Pink Members | HIIT completed! yay! Today's HIIT was a lot harder for me than yesterday's...lol...I seriously had to talk myself through the entire HIIT! (Good thing my legs have a mind of their own! When my brain is saying NO MORE, my legs say SHUT UP and always keep moving...Its nice to know I can rely on my legs...bwhahahaa)....(seriously though I have never quit ONCE during one of my HIITs!) At one point I was actually arguing with myself about quitting...LOL....but I managed to remind myself that I am doing all this for ME and NO ONE ELSE and it will NOT get done if I do not take the bull by the horns and get to it!! This worked like a charm and I finished off the HIIT with a sprint at the end! Yay! I stretched for about 5 minutes and then went in the house. I have been noticing this little ache in my left glute for a few days...it wasnt ever seriously painful or anything....just a little twinge here and there...but today during my HIIT it started really hurting when I pushed off with my left leg. If i shifted my weight it wouldnt hurt anymore, but everytime I would forget about it and shift back to my normal running form it would start to hurt again....kinda like a sharp, quick pain runnin verticle from the lower left glute to the top left hip area. I am thinking I will reverse the direction that I circle the cul-de-sac during my HIITs and see if this helps. I have been going to the left for so long it would prolly be good to switch things up anyhow right? ok Now for the weird part: I decided to put some muscle rub on the hurting areas of my glutes and also on my hammies cuz they were aching like crazy...about 10 seconds after applying the rub it started getting hot like it usually does....but today it DIDNT STOP GETTING HOT....it kept getting hotter and hotter and hotter until I started sorta freaking out a little. It was seriously hurting me!! I tried to wipe it off, but this didnt help much, so I went to the sink and used soap to try to wash it off. This didnt help either...it just kept getting hotter! yikes! I finally decided to try to get in the bathtub to wash it off...OMG the hot water TOTALLY hurt getting in too....but soon everything felt better and before I knew it my legs were icy cold in the hot tub water! It was a totally weird experience! I dunno if the muscle rub somehow interacted with the Red Acid or if i just had a freak incident with the muscle rub, but I will NOT be using that stuff (muscle rub)again any time soon!! OK..off to watch FOOTBALL! later! |
